I can see most Trump supporters pull this with cops when caught with a dui. It's inherent with their nature.

Its really ridiculous how people stereotype Trump voters. That post is an example. The claims that Trump's victory is an example of the underlying racism in this country, etc etc etc.

Regardless of how you feel about the intentions of the politicians and if Republican voters are duped by who the support, most Republican voters vote on decreased government.

 

Not from my experience in an actual conservative bubble. It's culture wars through and through with a zero sum game mentality where any expansion of rights for underprivileged is a slight on their freedoms.

I can only go by their rhetoric and actions. What's in their mind isn't small government. It's Dr. Seuss and Gina Carano.

I think a lot of Republican voters voted in opposition of Hispanic immigration in 2016 and its still.an issue with them. Other than that I think even culture war Republican voters are dying off and this country continually progresses on social issues including Republican voters

The conservative white guys I went to high school with and I see on Facebook support Trump on anti government subjects. Obviously I don't know what they talk about behind closed doors

No you didn't live in a right wing bubble. Private high schools aren't right wing bubbles. Infantry in the armed services and the local towns/regions that support these bases are constructive/right wing bubbles. I doubt every other vehicle in your neighborhood was a lifted Dodge Ram or a Mustang or a Camero.

Only thing about your experience is you knew more people but there is also more diversity in the military than my H.S. you can argue your experience but don't say dumb **** like private schools in the South aren't conservative

If you think wealthy people in the South aren't conservative you're lost

 

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Houston. Wealthy conservatives are mostly moderate and want tax cuts. They aren't head over heals into culture wars like poor regions in Southern Coastal North Carolina.

Hence why Trump lost a lot of the suburban conservative vote. Those aren't his people nearly as much as poor rural areas and military towns.

Don't tell me about whom I went high school with but you still have a total misconception of Houston. Our suburbs, the upper middle class, are extremely conservative. Inner Harris County is blue because of diversity. The suburbs are very red
