I mean I’m obsessed with NBA prospects it’s something that I’ve been studying for literally 25 years This is the best I’ve seen at the top of the draft since 2003 and I’ve been stating that over and over again for the last couple of months
We need a top 4 pick in this draft; we need it. However, it seems like a good year to have multiple draft picks. Regardless of whether or not we end up with a top 4 pick, I’m excited to see Houston begin the process of drafting its future.
J. Green impressed me with his G-League play; definitely a elite athlete with more skill than I expected. Would be happy with him, Suggs or Cade.
I'm going Cade-Kuminga-Green-Mobley if I'm Stone. I believe Kuminga has a chance to be a dominant 3/4 that would be a great fit between KPJ and Wood in the near term but also a guy who could quickly be a prime blake griffin type. However, I think cade has potential to be an all nba 1, 2 or 3. He's possibly Grant Hill 2.0 (more skill but less athleticism). In either case I'd like Greg Brown with the portland pick as his athleticism is something that can't be taught. He's sick.
This! Except, I’m for sure adding Suggs to the list. Great defender - winner - new age Jason Kidd possibly... I also agree that this is a good draft to have multiple picks. In a perfect world, I would love to see us keep the Portland pick, but also package some of these picks down the future, to sneak back into the late lottery.. I want one of the Big 5!!!! And I would love my hands on a few other freshman at Pick 10 ( possible trade ) And pick 23 ( Portland pick) It’s a long road... But a little luck and some hardnose research on all these kids and we could be on the fast track I want Chet Holmgren next year! I’ll take him over any of the big 5.
Grant Hill is good comparison. My preference is as follows: Cade-Mobley-Green-Suggs-Kuminga But I could flip coin on Cade and Mobley right now. Just depends on Stone's acquisitions between now and draft.
I think it’s a lot of fun to scout players and go through hypotheticals for the future. There is a lot of talent to be had and so many different directions we can go Love the flexibility- Wood, top 4 pick , hopefully another lottery pick - Portland pick - Tate - Porter jr ... with Wall We have a long way to go, We need to do this again next year.. Hopefully we can land two corner store pieces in back to back years
Evan Mobley 7ft shot blocker with guard skills I’ve seen comparisons to Bosh or Aldridge but I see some AD light in his game more so then wood because of the defensive potential.
Jonathan Givony at espn lists him at 6'8'', 225 with a 7 foot wingspan. Blake was 6'9'', 250 with a 6'11'' wingspan when he was selected in 2009. Blake was 20 at the time, Kuminga is 18.
