I’ve gotten used to this Covid reality...I wear my mask when in a public indoor space, and avoid large gatherings I’m still not willing to workout or hoop at a gym, but I bought a whole bunch of equipment and weights early in the pandemic to make my own home gym that I’ve been satisfied with I also won’t do things like go to a movie theater, and I won’t do dine-in at a place that’s allowing 100% capacity...I recently had to decline a wedding invitation because it was gonna be a maskless, anti social distancing Covid-fest...also not gonna travel and get on flights until things die down other than that, I’m used to this mask life and look forward to the day we finally get back to normal
Don’t be jealous he got first class seats! also this entire concrete cowboy thing was genius for both the city and the club so the club decided not to have the ‘mask off’ party And the city can score that as a ‘win’ but those 25 year olds are going to show up maskless like they do every week on Friday and Saturday there @Reeko all those tik tokers are now even more hyped to show up again I know you are real to Houston and you get it this media show It’s all a show @Ziggy
Yeah, it was a hype for the club. All the bars all over the state are nothing but mask free crowds. I know that. That's why the 100% capacity Abbott is about to loosen them all up to is such a stupid careless thing to do this week. He just couldn't wait a couple more months and ease in slowly once we get a much bigger majority vaccinated. This won't be pretty in 3 weeks.
I mean this is the nicest possible way: I just looked up and down the bbs...everything is about your Dr Seuss, tech, amazon, bullshit. Maybe take a break?
For better or for worse, I've gotten used to the new COVID reality too. I wear my mask virtually everywhere except walking on the nature trail in our subdivision where most of the time people are 6 ft anyway, or passing each other briefly. I have been feeling adventurous to try and go to a movie theater though. Maybe after I get the 2nd vaccine shot in about 3 weeks or so. . What a crazy world we've lived in for the past year. Hard to imagine that this could go on for longer than this year, but it very well might. I just hope the ignorant ****s at my oil and gas company don't stop with the mask wearing, but then again this is a very RED oil and gas company, so who the **** knows? A fourth of the people aren't wearing them at work hardly anyway, despite HR (who very weakly enforces it) telling people to do so.
I hope for your sake, the guys at your work don't do that. I guess the bright side is you've already gotten started on your vaccinations. That's more than most of us can say.
Yeah it's a bit of a ****ing mess, that's for sure. :|. Hopefully it gets better, but we've been at this now for a year now and people are still being people.
Look on the bright side, the city is going to bring back the basketball hoops at the end of March. https://www.houstontx.gov/parks/ Monday, March 29 – Tentative reopening based on COVID-19 case numbers (Depending on COVID numbers, reservations will begin on March 22, 2021.) (In compliance with CDC & NRPA guidelines for slowing the spread of COVID-19) - Other sports fields for league games and tournaments (soccer, football, and lacrosse fields – Youth and Adults) - Basketball rim installations begin - Soccer mini-pitch courts - HPARD adult sports - HPARD youth sports (Soccer for Success, H-Town Academy, and GHPAL)
I'm seeing on the news concern about Spring Break starting this weekend and there are a lot of people planning on coming down to TX beaches. So not only is TX lifting it's mask mandate and opening up 100% going to be risky for TX it's going to be risky for other states.
We see it, we saw it before, but Abbott doesn't care. I wonder if he purchased one of these yet https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/mar/10/donald-trump-buddha-statue-china-taobao
