What is wrong with people, I honestly have not even heard of this term and unfortunate that it has now been entered into my vocabulary.

 

His wife, who made that call, should request to go to that meeting... then proceed to tell Myers off in front of management, owners, players, hotdog venders, etc and hope they'll take the attitude that it's worse at home than it could ever be here (meaning Miami). It's his only hope.

I haven't heard the k-word in a LOOOONG time. the way some of these people just pull out the most obscure racist words is pretty crazy.

But he said "kike." which I vaguely knew.

Apparently, that started from Ellis Island when illiterate Jewish immigrants wouldn't sign their name with an "X", so used a circle. Circle in Hebrew is kikel. So, Jewish-Americans called new Jewish immigrants "kikes", making it originally a jew on jew slur (like redneck is to whites on whites) ... and I guess it stuck in NYC area.
