I would too. Both are talented young 20 yr olds that can play. Herro and KPJ games fit each other. Herro just needs to work on his defense, which I suspect will get better as his body matures. Same with KPJ.
man the dreamcasting on Porter is getting borderline annoying. no offense to anyone, but can we stop hyping this guy until he proves it on an NBA court? he's just a nice prospect. we are still at square one. Wood is the only true building block we know we have
Nope. I'm going to go ahead and keep hyping the hell out of him. If you don't like it, then perhaps you shouldn't frequent a fan forum.
It's crazy that this is not more obvious to everyone, AG would be perfect next to Wood and Porter. And I like the 3 team idea with Boston, makes too much sense but Vuc may be just too important to Orlando now.
Meyers Leonard made anti-semitic slurs during a twitch stream recently. Miami will have to add a lot more to him for the Rockets to waive him now. Herro, Robinson, Olynyk and Leonard for House and Oladipo What a putz.
Wiggins isn't costing the Warriors just 29mill. Because they are so far over the lux tax line (40mill) he is costing them at least double that. 60mill + is pretty steep for a bench guy. If they take on VO (expiring), they could structure a deal bringing back Tucker and someone like House. There is the option to cut 5-10 mill worth of salary - savings of 15-30mill. Their owner may not be Tilman cheap but paying double on a horrible contract is bad business. Moving Wiggins and attaching Loony would see them under the tax line for 2021/22. While they may be happy to exceed it, it at least gives them a bit of flexibility in rounding out their roster, and VO becomes a potential sign and trade piece for them, or can be re-signed as a handy 6th man piece I can see why they might like to dump Wiggins deal, and save even a few million in the short term.
So you're saying the Warriors will give up a potential top 5 pick in the best draft in half a decade for... luxury tax savings? The Warriors FO have established themselves as the wheat of the NBA and that's definitely a chaff move. They aren't run by a fake billionaire like we are. That tax bill is the equivalent of buying a cheeseburger for a regular Joe when you consider their revenues from the peak era. And really, if we're being honest, how much better is Oladipo than Wiggins? Sure Wiggins has been disappointing but Dipo kinda sucks. If he ends up getting a 4 year deal the last years of that won't be pretty. Wiggins might be a better trade chip.
A semi proven guy like Herro is exactly what I’d love to add to this team. I really don’t want a half decade of losing to amass more picks. If we can quickly transition to an up-and-coming team via high upside players, I’d prefer that over a 3 year tank.
We know 2 things. 1. The Heat are the team most likely for Oladipo 2. The Heat hate giving up assets. I think as soon as Herro is on the table a deal could get done. I'm not sure if it ever gets there but I'm really rooting for it.
that’s where I am. Any combination of our expirings (Oladipo, Tucker, McLemore, Brown, Nwaba), Gordon and Wall is on the table if Herro is out there. I’d even throw in the Portland pick. KPJ, Herro, Tate, Martin and Wood would be a great restart for this team.
I agree I don't think they'll attach a pick to his contract to dump it, they seem perfectly okay with lighting money on fire by spending far into the luxury tax (see the Oubre acquisition). . Wiggins + Minny Pick is definitely being saved only for another star. I don't think Oladipo fits that bill to be honest.
