I don't want to throw a little cold water on anything, but this is really solid information.

    • It's TBD what the market will return as we get closer to the deadline, when teams put their best hands out there because they're up against the wall, but... Teams want to see more from the Rockets players and it's been a bit of a mess. Injuries, in and out of games. To get full value, they want to see a long run of games.
    • The Rockets original asking price for their players was high: First-round picks, rookie contracts and it's tough to get teams to bite on that line for expirings or older players that are injury-prone.
    • Teams all believe that Oladipo wants to go to Miami -- that's not just an online rumor -- so it's hurting his value on a rental proposal (teams like Denver, Atlanta, possibly NYK).
    • The market for PJ Tucker right now appears to be a very good second-round pick or a young player at end of his rookie deal. That's because the cheap years on those contracts are almost over and commitment time approaches.
    • The Rockets should get some value for Oladipo but a lot does hinge on if Victor wants to go there.
    • Eric Gordon is tough. There are reports that he's getting a lot of interest but his contract and injury history makes it a bumpy market.
All this was stressed with this in mind: All it takes is one team.

And thus far, Stone has shown himself to not bite at trades that he doesn't feel have a big enough return.

And if *urgency* picks up for that 1 team. That's why it might come down to the deadline

All this points to Oladipo trade was confusing. Most of us saw this coming on this trade value and everyone and their mamma know where he wants to play

The Rockets play 9 games between 3/11 and 3/24. I hope that 9 games is a sufficient "long run" (however, I'd be willing to bet that there will certainly be some load managing going on if the first half of the season is any indication). I hope Stone is blowing up NYK about Dipo. They seem like one place that will bet they'd get him to re-sign. The Rockets really need Pat Riley not to think that the Heat are the only suitors out there. Sounds to me like PJ is heading to Philly for the SRP they have from the Knicks. Would love to massage an additional prospect out of the deal (Paul Reed???). Hopefully Stone finds that one team for each of the Rockets movable assets... Thanks for passing along the info Clutch, the natives are restless!

1.Take the SRP for Tucker. What the hell is a young player with an expiring contract valuable for?
    2. They want to see a long run of games. We are tanking, no thanks

    Thanks for the ‘solid’.

I believe if a team were to be in on VO they would be able to have a good convo with his agent to gauge his signability.

I believe EGo could fit in well at several places looking to have a deep run. However, determining relative value for Rox and receiving team is likely to be challenging.

Clutch is the new Cyberx. It's what we've wanted all along!

We've also wanted Cyberx to keep being Cyberx too though.

Reality Bites... looks like a few 2nd rounders coming our way, maybe a heavily protected first for Dipo If we get lucky.

Just IMO , I think the VO noise is smoke

I don’t understand how VO has better value than Gordon at this point .

Gordon may be injury prone , but he’s come back from most of his nicks and bruises looking like the same player . I actually thought he played well early this year .

VO , just looks like ass . I don’t see game changing ability on either end of the floor . He might’ve been the slightly better player a couple of years ago , but he totally looks like damaged goods at this point .

I know he’s an expiring , so that limits the risk , but it also means that if you want him going beyond this year it’s prolly gonna cost you more than Gordon ... and if it doesn’t , that means he was bad

The last year of Gordon's deal is a team option, right? That should make it less painful. I think he can be a really good player for the right team. His inconsistency this year has been bad for his trade value; I was really hoping he'd rebound from last year.
