Feels like our front office has basically decided KPJ will be the next superstar. They even wanna bring up all his g-league teammates.

I'm all for it, just don't be disappointed if he fails or gets into trouble again off the court.

He is def not a 5 at 6'6, he is perfect as a 3 and backup 4 imo. Watch his highlights here he always starts outside and goes in. Like I said House replacement. House aint exactly a sniper from 3 pt land either.

I dont get this mentality we arent the Cavs who traded 4 2nd round picks to draft KPJ all it took to get him was a protected 2nd round pick.

Considering 2nd round picks rarely amount to anything why is it somehow a sin to get hyped about KPJ? He didnt cost anything significant to acquire and the Rox dont exactly have alternative on their squad. If he fails then thats too bad but again you gave up nothing to get him.

I think its fine to get disappointed when people dont achieve their potential no matter whether it is Darko Milicic or Danuel House.

He held his own defensively against Jeremy Lin a few times in their 1st game a few days ago. I think he even got a steal from him.

The last time we had a Lamb, we ended up with Harden.

We have a Lamb now, we have Kevin Porter.

No, he is best defending at the 4 and 5. He is an excellent post defender. He is a work in progress as a perimeter defender. He may become a good perimeter defender, but he isn't there yet. He is very strong, physical, has a strong center of gravity and has a long wingspan.

Once he drops about 10 lbs and gets in real NBA shape that will help him a lot. Im sure they see that in him. Nice steady game. Knows his limitations and plays his role. Gotta have a few players like that on your team. He can be PJ but with better offensive skills. Bring him up now and let PJ get in his ear (while he still around) like he is with Tate and we got two young, better PJs on the squad now.

    Interesting timing for his signing.

At least he has touch around the basket. I'm not sure what PJ's actual % is on shots from 1-5 feet, but it seems like he misses them much more often than he makes them.

Harden was also a better post defender than a perimeter defender but we didn't play him at the 5. I don't know how the Rockets are gonna use him all I know is the RGV used him as a 3/4 hybrid as can CLEARLY be seen in the highlights he operated at the perimeter instead of in the post.

Neither Tate nor this dude is better than PJ in his prime lol. Maybe they can be better than 0fer PJ though I don't really know.

He’s a self-proclaimed PJ Tucker type. Smart career move to emulate a guy who doesn’t need numbers to have an impact or get paid.

They may use him offensively on the perimeter (they do just about everyone one) but defensively he is best at guarding 4/5's because of his strength, footwork, long arms and center of gravity. Since last season he has been working hard on expanding his game, and specifically has watched a lot of PJ Tucker tape..... however he still struggles guarding on the perimeter at times because of his feet.

There are some thing that he can do (positioning) to help on that issue, but he is better suited inside at this point in his career. Part of the reason he didn't stick on the Pistons was because of his struggle to guard on switches.

If he is gonna struggle with switches then he won't get a lot of PT since Rox defense is all about switching, especially if he wants to be a PJ Tucker type then he needs to be able to defend switches cuz that's basically the reason PJ gets paid, alongside shooting corner 3s at an elite rate.

TBH I think 3 and 4 are interchangeable in Rox offense so as long as he is not a center (good luck to us with a 6'6 center) it doesn't matter where he plays.
