He was hyped by CF. I thought he was a decent shooter, but that's it.

They are likely going to be sifting through young players over the next few years, get used to a high turnover. They are looking for players who flash big time potential, not a ceiling of Sterling Brown. They just got Sterling Brown on a minimum contract

Sucks to see him waived, honestly pissed off they didn't send him down to RGV to at least get playing time. There was no need to keep him on the roster when he was like 5th or 6th guard down the lineup.

They needed to waive somebody to dign Lamb they already at max capacity.

He can still end up in Gleague if nobody claims him, just like Brodric Thomas

Unfortunately even his shooting became bad during the losing streak.

The guy refused to shoot the ball and was completely indecisive. I'm sure he will develop confidence somewhere else but I'm down to give a chance to Lamb right now.

Likely. I doubt any team in the league watched his play with us and said, "Man, we've GOT to figure out a way to get this guy!"

I think a lot of people on here overhyped him after those 2 good games he had. He was undrafted! That says something. It wasn't Silas' fault, or Wall's fault like a lot of people started saying when he was back to playing like a regular undrafted rookie. It's just where his game is right now. I personally think he is not athletic enough at the SG or SF positions to be anything more than a off bench role player. Definitely not start potential. We will see if any other team thinks highly of him and picks him up.

Agreed. His shooting was off, his confidence looked shot and his game looked sloppy.

The Rockets Veterans are Completely Destroying the Young Players Confidence.

Doesn't help Veterans are Eating Minutes at Guard Positions. Mason Jones isn't a Point Guard, he is a Scorer. He should've been with the Vipers with Porter Jr. and become more developed.

Mason Jones Completely Wasted Half of the Season with this Lottery Team.

So many Veterans need to be gone ASAP.

And you think letting the youngsters play with no vets out there would help their shattered psyches?

If this 13-game losing streak went to 25 or 30 games, they'd be brimming with confidence?

Whatever, was never really impressed with him, he can play but he seem to have also a lot of weak points, and fwiw i didn't like how he went on twitter because he didn't get playing time etc, like he was deserving it, sounded like one of those guys who think they're much better than they actually are.

I'd say they are destroying their own confidence. If Jones is a scorer then its his own fault he can't hit open shots. Well to be fair he was converting at a decent rate for an undrafted rookie, problem is we aren't looking for decent players we need guys with star potential. Maybe he needs more seasoning at the GLeague so if nobody claims him that's where he is gonna end up. We can then pick him back up once the deadline frees more guys.

Pretty sure that's the plan however considering we got lots of washed garbage locked up for years they aren't exactly easy to move. Who knew CWood was an MVP contender lol he goes down and the team doesn't win a game in like 3 mos.

Right. They are not at the point where they are needing to add depth. They want players that will be rotation players for a number of years. That is why I think if someone stepped up, the Rockets would even move Tate. By the time the Rockets are good, Tate will be a free agent.

I think he can do well in the league, he needs a superstar to thrive which basically sounds like a bench player to me.

Obviously he wasn't going to continue his shooting percentages.

It's time to make him the focus point of this team trade the old soldiers and let's get at it.

Once his shooting dropped off his slowness of footspeed was going to hurt him.

If he can shoot consistently he can play somewhere.
