Will always remember him as one of the guys I had to look up on my phone to figure out who he was when he played way back when the Rockets were on non local TV

I'm unhappy and angry that Mason Jones has been waived. He deserved a guaranteed contract instead of retaining Kurucs. I have nothing against Anthony Lamb. I want him to succeed. Good luck Mason Jones.

I saw him as a Sterling Brown type of player. I didn't see anything wrong in retaining him.

I thought he showed lots of promise. He'll catch on another team quickly

Can’t wait to give up assets for him in a trade 4 years down the line.

    The Houston Rockets special.

    Mason Jones Sterling Brown

Good solid role player surnames there.

    Solid. Dependable.

    Flashy? No.

But can they sit on your bench, and fix that loose leg that's uneven and annoying, with some basic tools?

You bet your bottom dollar my friend

I really had high hopes for Mason Jones after his performance against the Spurs, but that hype was short lived for me. Sure, Silas not giving him consistent mins when Wall/Gordon/Oladipo missed games didn't help. Whenever he got in games, he was extremely passive when he should've looked for his shot more. As a player known for his scoring ability at Arkansas, I looked forward to him scoring rather than playmaking. Oh well. He's young with room to grow. Wish him the best wherever he ends up next.

    Wall sabotaged him too.

Purposefully or just because he's a shetty leader and mentor, we'll never know.

Sterling Brown level player sounds about right...since the team is so bad and lacks so much talent, I wouldn’t have minded if they kept him although I was never high on him...I just feel like the 2nd round of the draft is littered with Mason Jones types every year that are just nothing more than fringe NBA talents

Is there anybody on Clutchfans that prefers Kurics over Jones. Makes no sense to me. Kurics might be the worst Rocket I've ever seen. I really mean that too, can anybody name a worse player they've seen on the Rockets in the last 30 years?

I have no idea how good Anthony Lamb is. All I know is that he fits the 6'5-6'6 height range. We need one more of those of course.

Anthony Lamb is just filler until we complete the trade.

I don't remember him being this bad. The worst I've ever seen was actually Capela's first game. Onuaku could at least play average to above average defense and set screens. Good choice though.

Maybe he will transition into a 3 and D player. He doesn't work as a main ball handler because he's too passive
