    Tim MacMahon does not approve.

Probably hit up Tilly for some more of that juicy “inside info” and is panic writing a Harden slander piece right now.

Ever work a dead end job? Pay is alright but the job isn't helping you reach your personal goals?
I've been there. Most of us have been there. It's just business.

Right, because that’s even remotely comparable to an nba player that signed the largest contract in league history to play for a number of years.

the fact that you guys are equating the two shows there’s some massive pedestal you place him on

Letting James Harden off the hook I see. Well at least in crucial situations in Brooklyn he has K.D. and Kyrie to give the ball to. Hell... he may not even have to do much to win the title there if the rest of the league stands pat.

I can see this though. This is what we tend to overlook. The business of the league vs pure competition and being a pure competitor. Kind of like some fans... you have business minded fans vs die hard fans. A lot of players are like James Harden in this league and in life. The if you can't beat them join them mentality and then say your successful because you got first place.

Letting him off the hook? What did I say that was untrue?

Yep, he could have done more. My expectations are higher apparently for an all time legend and someone with his skillset.

    Dream is the benchmark.

Doesn't mean Harden wasn't great, I just think he could have done more. Thanks to all the passive aggressive posters for pointing it out though!!!

You likely will never see a Hakeem level talent in Houston in your lifetime. If that is your benchmark, then just enjoy the past as your future will be filled with disappointment.

Woah, padre, I have no problem hoping for another Hakeem - and yes, I know it is unlikely....Yao was well on his way though, until injuries....and EARLY Harden before he became entitled Harden was trending that way too.

You just have to mitigate your expectations - right now, I am enjoying watching to see which young players might be able to grow into real contributors....I gave up on Harden as a leader 2 years ago when CP3 was traded - knew that we were on the way downhill - as Harden was not a guy that was ever going to demand total commitment - and was more of a beta than an alpha.

So, here we are, starting over, just like we have done several times - and I am looking forward to seeing how it goes - honestly excited for the future.....rebuilding is fun, if you can enjoy it.
