To be accurate Al Franken was actually cancelled by Democrats. "Cancelling" is a somewhat subjective term and in regards that those figures lost positions related to their professions yes they were cancelled. That said they certainly haven't been censored and Kaepernick's voice and influence has been magnified through since the NFL essentially blacklisted him. This is my point about why so many of these "X is being Cancelled!" threads are off base especially trying to portray them as an assault of freedom and free ideas. The fact that within seconds I can find this on YouTube and still rent Breakfast at Tiffany's show that there isn't some mass movement of censorship. Now I'm pretty sure Paramount isn't going to make another movie with a Mr. Yunioshi character and certainly not cast a white man in that role, that isn't censorship and certainly not an assault on free speech. Besides that though the point of this thread that yes Conservatives certainly have and tried to "cancel" many things. Also we see them now undercutting long held philosophical principles, such as that property is essential to personal liberty, (Ayn Rand is rolling in her grave) to make tortured arguments against Left.
It's amusing that they are upset about Pepe le Pew. Anybody remember when anything remotely French was unacceptable? Remember when they wanted to cancel FRENCH fries in favor of "freedom fries"?
