First I might be Bias huge UH basketball fan. But I have realistic expectations about Brooks, after watching him in G League last year to this year, he has made further improvement. The Rockets past and present have ran a system that needs shooters, which for some reason Morey never got for us. Brooks is inexpensive, a former Sampson player so been ingrained how important rebounding/defense is to make it. He is not a star of course, but has decent handles, leads G League 3 pointers, and a willing defender. He could carve out a nice role as a bench player here and won't break the bank. What am I missing, are we not bringing him in because we have no roster space. Has he performed poorly? Seems since KJ ankle injury, during this streak he has stepped up. Why would we not take this player right now. Nwaba hurt, all others could be traded. Also gives the local fans something be excited about as well. What more does he need to show now to get an opportunity? He can shoot and that is a needed commodity and he won't be a huge liability on Defense. Why does this not make any sense to do????????????????

It does make sense, the current roster just has too many guards already. Someone needs to be moved out first before it has any chance of happening.

He appears to me like he plays more of a two type position and he's 6'3. Nice shooter, but seems to lack the size to guard NBA 2s without struggling. Am I wrong here?

Like the rest of this team, he lacks size. He is a pretty intense defender though. You have to defend for a Sampson coached team...

I think even though 6'3 has decent wing span for size, really I don't care if Calvin Murphy height, if you can shoot...you can shoot and all I care about. Those wide open 3's that I see Tucker and House missing a lot this season drive me nuts. It would open floor more for Porter drives, Wood post game, Rockets been emphasizing spacing, but don't have enough shooters. To be honest, they wanted to play small, but haven't had success cause three point shot has to fall. Golden State played small, but had really good shooters that also play defense. We never seemed to build ourselves that way. Westbrook couldn't shoot, Harden really got better through the years, Tucker used to be able to shoot, Gordon capable, but we would disappear and not consistent enough. Size is needed inside for rebounding, guards need to shoot. Blow it up, start Wood, Tate, New young 2-Way wing player, Porter, new guard. Bench KJ, Brooks, Patton, and Jones. Find an enforcer rebounder type to as we need some muscle. I actually think Sterling Brown been a good shooter and could fall in here. Probably need to get an evaluation if Queen has any future. Like to see some youth get a chance to see who is a keeper and who you get rid of to keep building. Like to see veterans traded so we can get that 2-Way wing player to slide in, a scoring 2-guard, and a point guard. Actually could you envision if we lucked out and got Cade to have a backcourt for next 10 years of Porter and Cunningham.

    This is a no brainer.

If Brooks isn't on the roster within the next month, something went wrong.

Of course as a UH follower, I approve of Brooks. but as others have noted he does lack some size at this level and he isn't exactly exceptional at many other areas to considered versatile. He definitely is a sniper though if you specifically just want him in that role

Deeky will almost surely be available as an undrafted free agent, hopefully he can work his way into the league as he continues to improve his 3 point shot.

Armoni is an nba player imo although probably limited to a 7-8th player off the bench due to his height unless he can develop into a point guard.
