I think he's heading to the Nets or Lakers.

He'd do absolutely nothing for the Nets though. They're capped out at offense, all they need is defense. It's sad but I think he'll be on the Lakers, half out of fit, half to spite the Clippers.

You really think Nash and MDA care that much about defense? LOL.

Like I said though, I think they're capped out on offense as is. It's diminishing returns. At this point Bruce Brown is better for that team.

The cap hit stays even with a buy out. It's literally the worst thing you can do with a contract. It does nothing but save the owner money.

Does the cap hit the remaining years?

Yup. The player just agrees that he won't actually be getting all the money but in terms of cap it's no different than just waiving the player. WOJ said the Pistons would still have to pay over 50M for Blake in 21/22 which they'll consider stretching.

Gett'in on my old man soap box here, gotta say, super teams winning championships is hollow in my book.

When my beloved Rockets won they assembled that team organically over time through a series of acquisitions.
You can argue GS drafted super well hitting on (Steph/Klay/Draymond) and building that organically.

The Bron Miami teams, Bron Lakers, and now Nets teams it just sad to me. Great for those fans and cities but not for the NBA.

Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate vets who put in the time like PJ, Iggy, Roc others wanting to take less and jump on the train to get that ring cause it is the last thing on the list but again, it is hollow. Going out on a limb but don't think PatBev, Dame Lil wouldn't do that.

Let me also be the first person to call myself out and say, I clearly have a bias here as my Rockets are now in rebuilding mode and it just sucks to see James basking in the sun as he and DMorley FUBAR'd my team and bolted for greener pastures.

Just saying this sucks donkey D's!

not sure what Blake does for BK

in the frontcourt, I’d rather play DJ, Green, Claxton, KD at the 4, etc over him

all Blake does is shoot jumpers...he looks like he can’t move
