Even when they were 10th they were like 1.5 games back of 8th, so they were very much contending. I think the point anyone is trying to make is the team would be playing much better if they were healthy. Would they be 3rd seed or something, hell no, but they'd be more competitive night in and night out and would not go on 10 game losing streaks. People are trying to throw the team completely under the bus because of injuries and I don't think that's fair. Now if Wood continues to get hurt and the team isn't prepared for that going forward then it is, but I don't think they planned for Wood to turn his ankle in the middle of a hot streak only to tank and become one of the worst teams in the NBA or planned for all of this turnover on their roster. I don't think there's a such thing as flukes or lucky victories, not over a 6 game streak or not over this losing streak. The Rockets werent' winning then just because they had hot shooting, they also had the league's best defense. The last 12 games? 24th. Their defense was so good during that stretch that they still have a top 10 defense despite completely falling off since Wood got hurt. There's still part of that team in there but guys lose confidence and guys give up and start hoping they are traded and that the season is over with...and they lost a pretty big piece in how they play. Wood not only led the Rockets in ppg, FG%, RPB (by a HUGE margin) , and BPG before calling up Patton. Losing him was no small thing and I think it's clear that his injury started a sort of domino effect and put them too deep of a hole to really get out of because now the team is playing for nothing and so guys are playing for their stats and questioning the coach.
james harden final game with the rockets was also coincidentally on jan 12, or 1/12 If this game was in brooklyn i would take the nets to win, but the 1/12 has gotten me right a lot of times. and its in houston to top it off, the rockets will win, or harden is gonna do something historic tonight. Also if you type in "brooklyn" and "harden" on this site http://www.gematrinator.com/calculator/index.php.. you will see that both equal 112. You can predict sports this way pretty easily i have found out over the past few months. also the the rockets can drop to 11-23 if they lose.. 11-23 is short for 112 and 113.. "kobe bryant" and "michael jordan" equal 113 and harden was traded on january 13.. or 1/13. so much freaky **** surrounding this game. But im still taking houston
I didn't even watch the last 2 games. I've been saving my eyes for this sh*t show tonight. Sigh...this is gonna get ugly FAST.
Harden's gonna have an 80/40/30 night, the Nets will win by 40 .... in the first half, and the Rockets will be one step closer to not getting the pick I hope they will because ..... Rockets. But hey, at least we're not the Texans!
No choice for Bill and Bull on League Pass tonight.... man, Bill's jokes have kept me going through the streak, this is going to be tough
“Houston is still a part of me” barf. Damn I’m feeling extra salty - wish Boogie was here just for the hacks. Hope Wall doesn’t punk out.
This 'scary hours' **** is so lame. Who steals a phrase from Drake of all people and thinks it's awesome?
Obviously I didn’t like the way Harden left us, but man if it’s not obvious how much the media loves him now that he’s in a big market team. It’s kind of sad for Rockets fans, and even for James who had to hear that crap for years.
