it would’ve been an embarrassment of the highest order if they didn’t retire his jersey

Harden gave us 8 phenomenal years and has done so much for the city off the court

retiring his jersey is a no-brainer...this man is the 2nd greatest player in franchise history

if only we had won the title in 2018...the legacies of Harden, CP3, MDA, and Morey would all be secured and Morey’s suit and tie would be hanging up in the rafters right next to Harden’s jersey

    lmao...easy money

dudes really act like this organization is the Lakers or some sh*t with 18 titles so what Harden accomplished can just get dismissed so easily because of no ring...this organization hasn’t been to the finals in almost 30 years

Obvious.. Never understood anyone who questioned if we would or not. He's the second greatest Rocket of all time rather you like him or not.

    No ****

    most obvious thing imaginable

edit: I also think a farewell tour isn't impossible. I'm not expecting it, but I don't doubt it could happen. If/when he gets his ring in Brooklyn, he won't have anything else to prove, he will be solidified as an all timer, not just arguably the greatest player without a ring. He loves houston. He could come home, help the next generation of our team develop and living whatever life he wants on the side for 2-3 years.

Retire it tomorrow night and if he wants to return to Houston later, don't let him wear it. We love, but we don't forget.

I was thinking the same thing. He could always return. Unlikely, but there's still a possibility.
