Rockets in: John Collins, RJ Hampton, Solomon Hill (waive), Tony Snell Rockets out: Victor Oladipo, PJ Tucker, Ben Mclemore, 2021 FRP via Portland, 2022 FRP via Milwaukee Miami in: Victor Oladipo Miami out: Andre Igoudala, Precious Achuiwa Nuggets in: Andre Igoudala, PJ Tucker, Ben Mclemore Nuggets out: Gary Harris, RJ Hampton Hawks in: Precious Achuiwa, Gary Harris, 2021 FRP via Portland (from Houston), 2022 FRP via Milwaukee (from Houston. Hawks out: John Collins, Solomon Hill, Tony Snell Why the Rockets do it: Get younger but not necessarily better in the short term, which shouldn't get in the way of "tank mode". Rockets starting lineup (after All-Star break): Wall, KPJ, Tate, Collins, Wood Why Miami do it: They capitalise on Butlers window. Also looks like Beal may stay in the Wizards long term plans. Pay by loosing one of their young guys, but have KZ Opala waiting in the wings. Miami starting line up (after All-Star break): Dragic, Oladipo, Butler, Olynyk?, Bam Why the Nuggets do it: Not one, but two defensive players to help take em over the edge. They get out of Harris' contract (even though he's their best guard defender) and have to pay up RJ to do it. Could throw either RJ or a 1st in here. Nuggets starting line up (after All-Star break): Murray, Morris?, Iguodala, PJ, Jokic Why the Hawks do it: They may not get Oladipo (who they have been rumoured to want next to Trae) but get an arguably better defender in Harris who will be expiring next year, a positional replacement in Precious, who is already an amazing defender and a couple of picks. One that may be just outside the lottery. Hawks starting line up (after All-Star break): Trae, Harris, Hunter, Precious?, Clint
https://tradenba.com/trades/u5HJl5j10 https://tradenba.com/mock-drafts/LYElmiYyh Wall - Dinwiddie - Jones Porter Jr. - Herro - Thybulle Cade Cunningham (Drafted 3rd overall) - House - Nwaba (resign) Tate - Martin Jr. - Kai Jones (Drafted 22nd overall) Wood - Patton/2roundpick, Kurucs It could happen.
Don't there there's a chance Cade doesn't go #1. Even if someone set at guard picks first. Hawks would take him, Wolves, Hornets, Detroit, Wizards, def us. Precious instead of Herro might be more attainable. The parts of the trades.. are all semi realistic so right on.
Does anyone know if the Timberwolves would still let go of Vanderbilt? He had a lot of noise around him earlier in the season. PJ and Bmac to Nugs Nugs FRP and Kurucs to Wolves Ed Davis and Vanderbilt to Rockets
only those super big can help to get into playoff or champions like cp3, kawaii, pg13, harden, KD, Curry, those normal stars cannot help the team too much. Wall is < cp3 for sure. Oladipo < westbrooks. woods and Cousion < Caplea. Save money to buy less strong stars are not a wise choices.
@Clutch May be on to something HOU - NYK - ORL - DET NYK: Oladipo (HOU) + Tucker (HOU) + Kurucs (HOU) Make a run at playoffs. Plus try out Dipo & Tucker before offering contracts next year. Could S&T Dipo in off-season if he is not going to stay ORL: Knox (NYK) + Rivers (NYK) + McLemore (HOU) + DAL 2021 FRP + BRK 2022 FRP (lottery protected) Get a chance to blow it up for this season and start building for next year. Knox is 21 and is a wash with Bamba outgoing. Rivers is from ORL. Pick up 2 FRPs for Gordon. Plus they cut salary and save owner some $$$. DET: House (HOU) DET saves some $$$. House gotta go. HOU: A. Gordon (ORL) + Bamba (ORL) + Jackson (DET) + Ntilikina (NYK) + NYK 2021 FRP Htown begins building for future and adds some height finally. Loses BRK 2022 pick, but picks up Knicks 2021 pick. TF saves almost $2M Rox can reroute Frenchie or Exum to SAC for Bjelica (height + 3's) Wall - Frenchie - Jones (signed to new deal) KPJ - EGo - Brown Jackson - Tate - Nwaba AGawd - Bjelica - KM2 Wood - Bamba - Patton
Can someone explain the love for Aaron Gordon a d John Collins? They put up numbers but they are almost never on winning teams... the Hawks have more around Collins than we would have around him and they can't win... I would prefer a center to move Wood to the 4... ideally a stretch 5 but rim protection is more important to me...
Full Tank: To Heat: Oladipo, Tucker To Clippers: Wall - #1 pick from Heat, #1 pick from Rockets To Rockets: Morris, Beverley, Olynyk, Leonard, Zubac, Bradley, Kennard, Harkless, Oturu, #1 pick from Heat Buyout or flip: Olynyk, Bradley, Kennard, Harkless, Oturu This leaves for next year: 14.9 - Morris 13.3 - Beverley 9.4 - Leonard 7.0 - Zubac 18.2 - Gordon 13.6 - Wood 3.8 - House So that's 80.2 million roughly giving them 30-35 million in cap space... team could look like this: PG Porter / Beverley SG Gordon / House SF Tate / Morris PF Collins or Markannen C Wood / Zubac
Silas has already stated that Woods advantage is playing the 5. By moving him to the 4 you are negating his speed. This is why we look for a 4 to pair with Wood both AG and Collins bring a huge upgrade to this roster at the 4. Added bonus with Collins is him being playable at the 4 or 5 with Wood health issues so far as a rocket.
Check the advanced stats. Hawks playing winning ball with Collins and suck without him. But they’ve had injuries and a terrible coach who was finally fired yesterday. Gordon is a little overrated but Magic have had him out of position for a lot his career and the bulk of their talent play the same positions.
He's also a PED guy so it's hard to tell who he really is... Personally i think someone like Myles Turner would be a better fit but with the year he's having I'm not sure Pacers part with him...
Myles Turner would absolutely be a better fit.... but with his current play, there is almost no chance Pacers let him go
Oladipo & Gordon for Griffin. Yes or no? I think I'm all in on that trade. While the Wall for Griffin trade is exciting. I don't think they'll go for it Esp with Suggs & Cunningham in the draft. And having drafted 2 PGs already in the last draft. Lets us tank these 2 years. Then start the rebuild.
Nuggets get Tucker & Bmac Hawks get Dipo, House, FRP from Nuggets, FRP from Portland via Houston Rockets get Collins, Dunn, Solomon & Snell This is the trade. Even throw in Milwaukee 2022 FRP to get it done. And throw all the money at Collins. After the all star break Wall/Dunn/Jones KPJ/Gordon/Brown Tate/Nwaba/KJ Collins/Kurucs (I hate the guy but he's a body)/Buy Out Wood/Patton/Buy Out On contract for next year: Wall, Gordon, Collins (sign), Dunn, KPJ, KJ, Wood, Tate.
Wall is just what this team needs right now. Hes playing well, he gives the team "legitimacy" while not getting in the way of the rebuild. With the sweet contracts we have in Wood, Tate, KPJ, KJ, and even Gordons (ehh), paying him is palatable. It only gets easier to move the longer we hold him. Imagine having a $44m expiring 0_0 especially if that expiring is playing above average.
You and me both will never understand not taking Simmons. I would honestly take Simmons over the entire package the Rockets got.
