There are several guys on the Vipers that deserve a look.

I've thought about this too. I think some of our vets are assuming and hopefully rightfully so that they will be gone by the trade deadline. If they are not though, I think they will play better. Right now they are checked out and not invested with this team. Right now they are all waiting to be rescued from the Titanic. That could possibly change if they know they are stuck here. I would imagine they would have some semblance of pride.

You are right, I've considered the fact that Kevin Porter Jr. might come up from the G League and win us a few games which would also not be ideal in some ways, but I think going full rebuild is the right move after watching our vets wet the bed for 11 losses in a row and a 49 point loss.

Agreed—Super important point, and it sucks but if you’re gonna be dropping games left and right make sure you do it right so you don’t get ****ed in the end.

    that OKC trade ffs

also take this into account, you're advocating to take all the guys listed above your previous post to play them. Those guys want to make it to the league permanently and stay there. You also can't just take every guy from the vipers and throw them on a nba roster. They're going to try and win games to do so while playing hard if given a chance. I mentioned your optimism sarcastically because your fear of them not losing enough games is a non worry for me personally. Eventually KPJr and KMJr will play in the 2nd half of the season.

We are tanking, whether we like it or not. The goal is to keep players on the court that are trade worthy until the deadline then trade them. The reason we offered a 2 year contract to Oladipo was to make him more tradeable and get better assets, a 2 year contract is an insurance policy for the acquiring team, it opens up more teams to bid on him since he can't simply walk on them. They would get to see if he fits within a 2 year window, plus he wouldn't be a long term contract on the books if he got injured. If we don't get a trade done Fertitta gets to clear his salary off the books, which seems to be the likely reason this was done in the first place. Otherwise we would have had Lavert on team control till 2023. If we were truly competing we would have kept Jarrett Allen as well despite the salary implications ie Luxury Tax.

They don't have to lose every game nor have the worst record to improve their draft status. They are at this point just as likely to get the top 4 pick as Minnesota and Detroit and that will likely stay. http://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds

That’s totally wild. Shawn Bradley had 5 triple doubles? Unbelievable.
