I was lookin up WIkipedia and godamn, there's a **** ton of movies shot in the H bruh. I'm go wit Robocop 2, it's been awhile since I've seen Boyhood and I know it goin win the polls. It was a CF favorite when that movie came out. Also the chuck norris movie Sidekicks was also shot in houston but I just recently watched that movie and it sucks.

Definitely Rushmore, but Urban Cowboy and Boyhood are right up there.

Boyhood gets credit for shooting at a live Astros game (and capturing a Jason Lane HR) and also hanging out at Hermann Park.

Urban Cowboy does a great job of capturing what it was like to live in Houston during the Luv Ya Blue era, even though it's never specifically referenced.

Parts of The Tree of Life were filmed in H-Town. It's not that great though

Duh. Obviously the 1990 Dolph Lundgren classic, "I Come In Peace" also known as "Dark Angel".

Pretty sure Dolph won an Oscar for this one for his moving and extremely believable portrayal of an HPD detective.

(I actually saw this in a theater.)

Mentioned that earlier and watched it several times as a kid. It was terrible, but I still remember a few scenes.

Man, I like Terrence Malick, and I was excited about this movie (an old dad of an old friend of mine is an extra, sitting at the lawyer table in the country courthouse scene)...

but this movie was a bunch of pretentious crap. Looked beautiful, like all his movies, but the dialogue/voiceover damn near made my ears bleed, not even sure if I finished it.

River Oaks is not outside the loop. First we find out your zipcode is partially outside the loop, now this. Inner Loop Cred is struggling.

Much of the movie takes place in River Oaks. The house is on Locke Lane. You should watch it sometime.

I was just about to post "Weirdest Robert Altman movie shot in Houston..." didn't think anyone would know what I was talking about. Definitely not his best work.
