A bunch of the obvious have been named from my era. One I didn’t see mentioned was Horry? He was a hell of an athlete. Could guard 1-5, could dunk and was a 3pt specialist. Was also one hell of a weak side shot blocker.

Otis Thorpe. When power forwards were power forwards. Him and dream were a front court to behold.

Talking about fun to watch, remember that delayed hitch Chuck had in his free throws? Though rarely called, there were multiple lane violations every time he went to the line.

    Other than Dream you mean?

Maxwell was fun. He was so streaky and moody. Never knew when he would pull an antic.
Clyde gliding. Alien Dude, Horry, hell all those guys from that era were fun to watch.

For actual old-school guys, I'd go with:

Calvin: Constantly getting the better of guys a foot to a foot and a half taller.
Moses: Hardest working player I've ever seen. Dude would leave puddles of sweat after shooting a free throw.
Ralph: Just a freak of nature. Ralph came up in '83 and would have been even better playing in today's game. He was 7'4" with handles and a smooth outside shot, but could also dominate in the paint when he felt like it.

Ralph was the most uniquely gifted big man to ever play the game at that time. And, yes, he would have been even better in today’s game. Christian Wood is kinda like a mini Ralph to me, but with maybe half the talent and skill that Sampson had.

Mutumbo was great to watch. Prefect back up center. He was always a perfect stand inn whenever Yao went down. Love arching Mutumbo at the end of his career with th Houston. It funny because, ITV, he was just filler in a trade with the Knicks and turned out to be the best piece in the deal

I think you're confusing him with Eddie Griffin.

Eddie Johnson joined the Rockets at the end of his career

Oh yeah, it really was a treat getting kicked out from the first round year after year.

    So enjoyable to watch.
