Porter is like a fast pitch surgeon on the court. His passing is criminally underrated. Back up PG my ace.
Need to do this. Consider bringing up Armoni as 2 way too if Mase needs to be added to trade package.
This is exactly the beauty of it though. As long as Wall is here, the pressures of success for this team falls squarely on the shoulders of your self anointed franchise player. This in turn gives KPJ time to grow into that guy without the pressures associated with it. I for one would also love to see a franchise player who can be both a guy who is effective in an offense on the ball as well as off the ball. Learn to play with Wall and play well with him. This team is more than one or two pieces away from being a contender and there’s no proof KPJ is the guy to get you there. Let him ease into that role while we build a young core together.
It made Harden evil incarnate So I know this guys issues have to be much less than that. Rocket River
What I like is his repertoire and decision-making. Dude throws pocket passes, half-court lobs and easy up the court chest passes to the open man. He's a surgeon and that clip shows elite vision, court awareness and overall passing skills. Very exiting passing skillset. If we didn't have Wall, I'd say throw him at 1 full-time, but that will create some friction and the kid doesn't need to buck up against an alpha right now. He needs to keep building the confidence and work on his game. I believe his day is coming very soon. Now if Stone can find a way to unload Wall, that could help jumpstart his development. However, not sure its worth the asset cost at this point.
I don't have a prob with Wall being the starting PG, IF he is the best playmaker on team. IF Wall isnt the best playmaker then he shouldn't start no matter how old he is, no matter how much he's being paid. But I can be patient, can Porter? Can Wood?
Was watching Cade Cunningham as Ok St played against Okla .......sure will be nice having Kevin Porter jr and Cade next season. I agree as D Vitale was saying he will go number 1 and that he guaranteed Cunningham would be an all star by year 3.
Those people asking why KPJ isn't with the team yet, consider if all that was a concern with KPJ was his game, he wouldn't be a Rocket. They have more knowledge about what the kid needs and where he's at than any of us. Anthony Lamb has had some issues, too, so hopefully he gets a break, as well, because reading about the guy, he was a gym rat that lived basketball, though his skill isn't on KPJ's level
I think the more impressive part of this is this is him walking in cold with no training camp and an entire year of no pro ball. G-league bubble was essentially his training camp this year.
