Honestly, all three team's futures are completely up in the air... and if you look at what is the most important facet in having a consistent winner (developing a franchise QB), the Texans have things going for them that the fan base is currently underrating (in addition to getting a fresh start with a new GM/coaching staff).

Hopkins got paid and he's seemingly content for now... till either a new coach comes in (Kingsbury on the hot seat) or Murray does or doesn't take that next leap forward that Deshaun did this year. Its also safe to say that Hopkins peak years are not yet to come... this is it. He also would not have been the difference maker on this year's Texans, unless he somehow was able to run the ball and get more than 2 YPC.

The Dolphins were looking much better before a month ago. They seemingly had their franchise QB, were heading to the playoffs, and were in line to get a top 5 pick. Now only 1 of those three things are true. Tua isn't a slam dunk answer... and there are QB prospects available that they're going to have to make a choice on whether or not to take his replacement. Chances are they don't, but then their current coaching staff and GM will be tied to whether Tua sinks or swims.... and they know that (hence why they'll debate taking a reset with this draft pick).

Except Derrick Henry, this year he got 378 rushing attempts, and 19 receptions, and doesnt seem he is going to break

No franchise builds around a wide receiver in response to the post you responded to. Whatever happens the Texans have the most solid offense out of the 3. Who knew David Johnson would finally come along. Watson had his best season

Not the last 2 games. No defense of the trade but his last 2 games were pretty studly and one was against a playoff team. The Texans were just in a position of having to pass

$10 million for 2 decent games. Time to move on to a young back with a burst.

No doubt he isn't worth the money. Running backs are a dime a dozen. Agreed.

So out of the three which one is most likely to make the playoffs next season?
I don't think Texans will magically recover from this awful season with a new coach/gm. Our defense is way too shtty.

i am not too sure about the other two. Just lookin at Dolphins barely missing playoffs and getting our draft picks is kinda disgusting.

May I ask how u came to the conclusion that our offense is the most solid out of the three? And then assuming we get rid of Johnson's ass, where is this magical running back that's gonna replace him? Idk too many missing holes on defense is a glaring problem also.

Out of the three, the Texans still play in a division without a truly dominant team/SB contender... and they have the best QB.

The Dolphins have the hardest decision to make this off-season. They havent committed to Tua by simply saying “he’s our guy”. They really don’t get that much better next year if they end up punting on tua and getting another potential franchise QB to develop.

Texan fans who are trying to convince themselves that David Johnson MIGHT be worth holding onto are just trapped in the cycle of abuse.

Thanks Easterby and O'Brien! By giving away the best WR in the league for no reason, you also managed to piss off the franchise QB to the point he requests a trade! Excellent work, 4D chess!!!!!!

    /s obviously

this move just leaves speechless to this day

All I can ask is why?

this move was so dumb, it sapped a lot out of me...I can only imagine what it did to Deshaun

once Deshaun is traded, I’ll really only be watching the Texans simply because I’m from Houston...the stupidity and fckery is just too much right now

Damn hop should be happy he’s out. Why keep posting your own stats and didn’t make the playoffs ?
