If Lowry is going to get traded, best he gets moved before the trade deadline and I hope we see him moved soon. The ideal situation for us would be if Oladipo is literally the most attractive players in the trade market - a vet with good defense who can contribute offensively as a third option and has a track record of hitting big shots and playing well in the playoffs - I suspect we'll be able to get more for him than if we're having to compete with teams chasing Lowry.
The compensation is John Wall is a much better player than Blake Griffin. The fact that Detroit is getting the better player in the deal cancels out that extra year.
Covington not really fitting in POR Never happen but would like to see him back. Tucker Kurcus and a 2nd
Not until next season. Tucker should be gone before then. But I like the idea of bringing RoCo back too.
Only trade #1 is palatable. But unnecessary to trade Dipo AND Tucker for MPJ and Harris. Tucker is not a throw in and should be used to net another asset/player.
He is not $52,800,000 better. Yes next year Wall makes about $5,500,000 more than Griffin next season, Wall being a better player I can see, but the $47,366,000 the following season is the where the FRP comes in. Just my opinion. Remember for a trade to happen the other team has to say yes, too.

But longer for D and most can shoot the three (TWSS).
Houston trades: Dipo/Exum/House Houston receives: Anunoby/Green/Scott/Bradley/Joe **Waive Kurucs and trade PJ to one of the contenders with a TPE** 76ers trade: Green/Scott/Bradley/Joe/2 FRP’s 76ers receive: Lowry Toronto trades: Lowry/Anunoby Toronto receives: Dipo/Exum/House/2 FRP’s This all hinges on Toronto (and any potential buyer’s remorse on OG), but beyond that - everybody gets what they want. Lowry gets moved to a contender. DM pays the price to get his potential over-the-hump player. Rockets flip the expiring Harden pieces into something tangible with upside (Anunoby), and Toronto gets two playable bodies, along with a couple firsts, to replace Lowry and OG.
It’s going to take a lot to convince Denver to trade MPJ. I know the Rockets want to. I hope they can.
I wouldnt let Tucker be the reason you hold up that deal, only thing is how much are you prepared to pay MPJ?
Here’s what I hope happens come 3/25: Trade 1: Houston: MPJ, Gary Harris Denver: Victor Oladipo, Danuel House, Ben McLemore, 2021 FRP via Portland, 2023 FRP via Washington Trade 2: Houston: Matisse Thybulle, Danny Green Philly: Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker Trade 3: Houston: Blake Griffin Detroit: John Wall, Riodions Kurucs, 2021 SRP via Philadelphia PG: Kevin Porter Jr / Mason Jones SG: Gary Harris / Sterling Brown SF: Matisse Thybulle / David Nwaba PF: Michael Porter Jr / KJ Martin C: Christian Wood / Jae’sean Tate Buyout, expiring, and irrelevant players: Blake Griffin, Danny Green
John Wall isn’t getting traded this year but those first two trades would be incredible. I think Thybulle would have to get sent to Denver to sweeten the pot. It’s going to take some creativity and a three team deal to get MPJ. Denver knows he’s going to thrive as a first or second option. They want to avoid a Harden 2.0 situation where they are underpaid.
He isn’t up for his max for another year but you extend him on a max in a second. He’s a franchise potential player.
