Them staying together and the Nets being bad are two different things....we'll see. I know @luckyman76 made a pretty good argument for the Nets deal.....Im still more or less unhappy with a gamble we took for assets. Im not a gambler lol.
They have much better players than old KG and Paul Pierce plus they actually have competent management.
The argument against the Nets being bad Is they will get assets for Kyrie, Kd and Harden When they leave Barring retirement. 36 yr Harden and KD will get something. Or they get a Buttload if cap space. Rocket River
Durant Achilles act up, and the dream is over. not that I’m wishing that on them. I wouldn’t mind harden getting ring
Harden just dosent get injured and his game is reliant athleticism. His game will be elite for another 3 or 4 more years and the Nets will be good for another three seasons minimum
Exactly.... right now fans actually care. Give it another year and fans will be numb to it. Maybe in 2-3 years the Rockets will have developed an all star or if really lucky, two. This is assuming the Rockets are smart and tank a few years and not “try to win” without a franchise player and win 40-45 games a year for a few years before bottoming out again. Look at the Sixers... they put off rebuilding for 6 seasons where they were about .500% without a franchise player... then they tanked for 4 years... and now are on their 5th year of being good.
But Nook, the chances of getting the top pick are blah, blah, blah.........which is better than pick #14 and later.
It’s not painful. It’s beautiful basketball. The ball movement is so much better than that loser ISO crap. John Wall says the chemistry in the locker room is much better too.
I see the response now as the delayed reaction to the Harden trade. People have no idea what that man did every night. Right after the trade with that stupid winning streak everyone was in denial and now reality has set in. Exactly as you are saying people need time and then they will watch the young players if we do these trades and start to enjoy watching the team build again.
What's head scratching to me is that a.) Y'all didn't see this coming and b.) y'all can't see that this is literally the plan. The only move that management has made that can even arguably have been to improve the team was the addition of Christian Wood. But Christian Wood is young enough that it can also be seen as a move to add talented young players in our rebuilding years. This is a rebuild. The tank is here. If you're surprised that's your fault. It's so obvious.
I look at the Houston Rockets sans James Harden and I still see that "loser ISO crap". Im actually flabbergasted at times watching them. They look like a bunch of jr high players just running all over the place with no idea what to do really. Some of that falls on Silas, most on the fact that these players aren't good enough to challenge a decent NBA team. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder because im watching dumpster juice out there - I miss winning, but understand that it will be a process. I cant just make stuff up in some Super Fan show of solidarity. This team sucks. Chemistry Schmemestry. (now I wonder if you were using max level sarcasm??)
what... ping pong balls don't get you excited... they drive me wild, all i think about before tip off.
Suns 4-seed in the West after years of being a laughing stock Nets the most dangerous offensive team in the NBA and the clear favorites in the East. Some of y'all really wanted Chris Paul and James Harden traded. I hope you're having fun! Especially you, Tilman! Great work, everybody.
I don't know why people are surprised by this. When Harden said he wanted out, it was over. We spent a long time trying to get a Harden type player and we totally lucked out when it happened with a once in a lifetime type trade. Tilman literally pissed it all away by forcing the Westbrook trade, not paying MDA, not keeping Morey, not hiring the coach Harden wanted, etc. You can blame this all on Tilman and CP3's hamstring.
