So many plants lost that have survived multiple hard freezes for years -- random wild cactus just turning to mush.
ERCOT board members who live outside of Texas resign in the aftermath of the power outage, winter storm
Neighbor left his car outside for the entirety of the cold snap, never once came to start it to keep the battery fresh. Today he tries to start it for the first time in a week and a half and of course it's dead. Instead of trying to jump it (his wife's car runs just fine) he calls for a tow. The tow truck comes and the driver does not ask any questions, he just tries to tow it but he cant because the truck is large and cannot maneuver around to hook up the car. He leaves. A smaller tow truck comes, and the driver asks my neighbor if he tried to jump start it. "Huh?" The driver jump starts the car and it runs. "What was wrong with the car?' "The battery was dead sir." "Huh?" Instead of letting the car run or driving it some to recharge the battery, he immediately cuts off the ignition and heads back inside....I'll be telling the same story tomorrow.
Where are the pipes that burst? I just had to cap off one pipe because I couldn't get to the one that actually broke (I'd have to go through the dry wall), but you could try just capping it yourself for now, so they could have water in the rest of the house. Some plumbers are doing this right now, just to get as many people functional as they can.
This is what the plumber my parents found did for them until he could find some pipe to fix the problems. They have multiple breaks in their lines, though.
You must live in Little Cali (Austin). Then western boys don’t give no never mind to car health awareness.
The ****ing scam bots are back now. If it there was any silver lining to Snowpocalypse 2021, it was less scam callers.
Axis deer in Gillespie County, frozen to death (they're native to India and cannot really handle cold weather), what a waste
