The bottom line is that Tilman took over a team that won 65 games and ran the franchise into the ground in record time.

I wish Boogie health/prosperity! He was a solid contributor and did an admirable job in helping us secure our top 4pick! I will always have fond memories of the 8 game losing streak he helped us achieve!

I don’t think keeping him was ever in the plans, and I’m pretty sure they would much rather have that contract walk away than spend the money on someone else. My guess is he doesn’t get traded, ends up in Miami as a free agent, and Tillman pockets the cash instead.

He’s gone by March 25 or they stupidly decided to keep him. It was always a trial period. It’s gone as bad as possible.

Rockets: NBA analyst destroys DeMarcus Cousins after news of release

“He’s a shell of what he used to be. He really isn’t effective anymore. And defensively, he was never a great defender.

He could at least be physical. But in terms of the way the game is played now, with the importance of bigs being able to defend a little bit and help you out on the perimeter, he is stationary.

His feet are in cement. He can’t move. When they played Philly the other night, it was literally embarrassing what a mismatch Joel Embiid was for DeMarcus Cousins to try and guard Joel Embiid.

He can’t even bang with a big post player, who you might need him to bang with, and he certainly can’t guard pick-and-roll. And he’s not a guy anymore who you can throw the ball into and be like okay he’s going to get a quality shot down there or get fouled.

He’s just not the same player. And then there’s the other component, which is just his demeanor and personality and everything else.

So if he’s not being a highly productive player in 15-18 minutes, if he’s not going to get you quality production every night, where you’ve gotta accept some of these other things, then I would say no.”

Something doesn’t add up with the DeMarcus Cousins situation
Stephen Silas says DeMarcus Cousins was at practice today and will be playing in tomorrow's game if healthy. Was dealing with foot problems today. Called the news surrounding Cousins potential departure "rumors."

Words are far weaker than actions, but it’s rare for a coach to dispute a report from Shams or Woj. Why would Silas dispute the report if it weren’t true? Was he just looking to save face with Rockets media? It’s tough to tell, but nothing is official until the team makes a statement or the action is complete. Silas is far closer to the team than Shams, so it appears that the whole saga was a false alarm.

ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reports that Boogie wanted a new role as a starter, rather than a backup behind Christian Wood, one of the league’s premier big men.

Lmao why does that change anything goofy? All this does is make the Rockets look good and Cousins look bad lool. Shams is the one who tried to make cousins look good.

What does Wall see that we don't? I suppose he had to say that regardless?

They are friends. What the hell do you expect him to say?

"Man, Boogie sucks. He can't move anymore, he can't finish under the rim, and he is just not good enough to be in this league anymore. He should think about retirement."

I mean come on man lol.

He didn't have to mention his play on the court at all. Wishing him well doesn't require an analysis of his basketball skills.

    They are friends.

John is going to support his friend, no matter how shitty he looked out there. He knows his buddy is looking for another job and at least wants to provide positive feedback to the rest of the league.

Again, supporting his friend doesn't require a description of his basketball skills. And as far as his positive feedback, he just makes himself look the fool when the rest of the league can watch video and see for themselves what Boogie really is. Think someone is going to sign him just because John Wall puts in a good word?
