He won those rings cuz of KD and bunch of untimely injuries to other teams star players.

Had Kyrie and Love were healthy tje Cavs would have demolished them. Like the Cavs healthy the very next year beat them

If Bev and Dmo were healthy I think we beat them.

Agreed, it’s clear the answer is no longer “avoid the midrange at all costs”.

    It depends on the personnel.

If it’s an open midrange and it’s a clutch situation, then take it. At that point, it’s too small a sample to be concerned with expected value.

Also, taking a few open midrange shots over the course of the game is smart, especially if teams are selling out to prevent 3s and shots at the rim.

Which Rockets ... do you trust their midrange game?

    Sure, no disagreements there.

Nah. It literally does nothing over the course of a game. It’s not a smart play, teams will happily and do give up that mid ranger all the time. They want dude’s to take that shot. Star players who are generally good from the mid range can do what they want. But it’s still largely a shot you avoid and it will continue to be that way.

Whoever can hit open midrange j's at 48% - 50%. Mostly situational too, I don't think teams should hunt midrange shots obviously.

There isn’t anyone on this team who can hit a midrange even 45% of the time.

KD is the best midrange shooter in league at 49%.

Plenty of analysts thought there wouldn't be enough basketballs in Brooklyn and it would lead to tension among Durant, Irving, and Harden.

That's the whole point of the last 50 pages of this thread

He never came out and went “not 1, not 2, not 3” like Miami Lebron claiming championships. He said he just wanted a chance to compete for it and felt that the window of chance here had closed.

    Great Gif placement.

I wonder who that guy is and how weird would it be if you where that guy and your pic shows up in the strangest places.

That's true. He does have his choice of what he wants to do, I mean aside from the contract he signed. Harden was the contention though. He knows that's. He just wanted to play with KD. Also part of that window closing was his fault. People not wanting to play with him here was on him and his bad personality. That's putting it harsh but I don't ignore truth just because the guy played here before. As soon as he asked for a trade he put the ownness on himself to produce a championship. Now he is back tracking saying maybe next season or what not. AD and Lebron came out with one in season 1 together. Without a third star. I'm sure Harden would be happy to just get one this season, next season, or the one after. Nets didn't trade for him to be figuring it out though.

Well they have to have something to talk about, right? I never seen this as an issue when Irving is better than Westbrook and KD and Harden have played together before in OKC. That's the easy part. The hard part is actually winning it all!

If by the engine you mean “main recruiter” for getting Durant there, then sure. The engine behind title 1 was facing an injured team in every round. LeBron showed they couldn’t beat him with help without adding another star. The key for the 3 seasons after that was Durant. When he went down they lost again. Since he isn’t surrounded by multiple studs anymore he has only been the engine for the lotto and a low playoff seed (hopefully).
