    Yellen doubles down

"We think it's very important to have a big stimulus package [that] addresses the pain this has caused - 15M Americans behind on their rent, 24M adults and 12M children who don't have enough to eat, small businesses failing," Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told CNBC. "I think the price of doing too little is much higher than the price of doing something big. We think that the benefits will far outweigh the costs in the longer run."

Asked whether the surge of federal spending could prompt a sustained rise in inflation, Yellen responded that it was a risk, but added that inflation has been very low for many years and the Fed could always mitigate that risk by raising rates. According to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the House aims to pass its $1.9T coronavirus relief plan before the end of February to beat a deadline on extending key unemployment programs.

Yellen also said the White House will likely propose a second economic recovery package later this year that would include spending on longer-term investments like infrastructure, renewable energy, education, job training and research and development. The proposal would also include tax increases on corporations and wealthy Americans that would "phase in slowly over time." During his campaign, President Biden proposed raising the corporate rate to 28% from the current 21% (prior to President Trump's tax cuts in 2017, the rate was 35%).

So after 1.9T, there's more?? hahaha. i was contemplating taking profits and reducing the port before may; looks like better move is to just stay vested. Seems like we are in a rotation from growth to value atm, but if corp taxes go up growth should be the winners again? those that report income get punished, those that burn $ win.

Nothing's really been passed yet, and I'm still watching interest rates/inflation. If he Fed has to start jacking with interest rates to try to stop inflation, the wheels could come off quickly. lol.

Okay, thanks. I’ve been in it since $32, just having trouble deciding what it is worth...

I didn't watch it, it but this may be the segment that was on their Halftime Report show on Friday. I love Josh Brown. He's one of my favorites on CNBC. He actually owns Berkshire stock in his own portfolio, I think, as well as probably client portfolios. I've owned BRK.B for years and don't plan on selling anytime soon. My most immediate worry is if he passes away, I'm not sure who all will be making the decisions. Hell, I'm not sure who all is making the decisions now or how the decision-making is split up, tbh, but it does its job for the most part. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of dividends, but then, he doesn't really believe in them -- unless another company is paying them. lol.

Any way to get in 'early' on the potential of Lucid going public?

Been watching UAVS for like a year. The premium for selling puts at $7.5 seem juicy enough. And I wouldn't mind owning the stock at that price. Currently sits at $10-ish. Thoughts?

    Early on what? IPO?
They are supposedly doing a SPAC merger. Ticker is CCIV.
And you are a few months late. Prices have skyrocketed based on rumors.

Man UAVS is interesting. I flipped that stock last year in April from $1 to $3 based on some big e-commerce contract. A year later it appears they still haven't revealed who that is and people have run up that stock pretty damn high based on that.
It appears someone put out a short article and plummeted the price last week and the company responded to it. Proceed with caution.

And I think CCIV is priced higher than like... NIO. Seems kind of crazy. We have already been hearing about CCIV/Lucid for like what, 6 months now? I believe the hype reached such a point that people were bringing cameras into the woods to get shots of test tracks.

He had some likeability for being a billionaire but lately he's shown that he also is full of himself.

I liked the guy and still do, but there is something "salesman-like" about him that I can't stand.
