They wouldn't get Toppin in the deal. The Rockets get Bamba, Cole Anthony and some seconds for Oladipo. Orlando get some perimeter help and a first for AG and the Knicks surround Randle with vets to push for the playoffs.
Toppin makes no sense for Magic, they are already loaded at the 4 and their coach is defense first. And why do Rockets need Cole Anthony (if Magic even let him go)? Rockets need BOTH Bamba and AG in any Magic trade.
I don't pretend to be a magic fan. Toppin was included due to the fact I assume the magic would like an extra prospect in an AG deal. The Rockets acquire anthony because they are light at the 1. I know you're a big AG proponent but I'm not as sold on his fit as you are without James Harden or another p and roll hall handler on this team. I think he'd be wasted here. I know you disagree.
Those are legit good points. But Magic are not dangling Cole Anthony like they are AG or Bamba. Wood needs a long physical defensive minded 4 next to him. AG also shooting 36% from 3 and dishing out 6 dimes since he became point forward for Magic this season. That is similar PG production to Wall. AG fixes need for starting 4 (taller than 6'7), small ball switch everything 5 AND secondary point/playmaker. AG also improves Rockets rebounding. Kevin Porter Jr. also plays point with Vipers so Cole would only take those reps from Porter when he is back with Rockets after AS break.
