If not here then where? Dude will be 100x more valuable if he can hit 3s. If he's not going to work on expanding his game, just call him up and let him be what he is. Keep shooting! lol

We already know how good he can be at a few other things. Him being a serviceable catch and shoot player will make him worth his weight in gold. We knew it would be rough, can't abandon it, that's where guys fall off. But I agree, that's real bad, but he has to keep shooting and gain some confidence in that shot. It's slow, and ugly, but it only has to go in 1/3x for him to be playable. He will need to work on the actual mechanics of his shot over the summer.

Yup, I said this in my last post, but the rest of his game is based off hustle and athleticism, unless you want to just say "welp, nothing we can do this season, maybe next year", just let him shoot it. Him gaining any sort of confidence (even just from the coaches giving him the green light) on his shot is worth more than a G-League winning record. Kid could be a cross between Robert Covington and Josh Smith. But I'd like him to be more Covington. Smith was out of the league by 32 and Covington can probably play until he's 36. Contract wise he's locked in as a potential building block for years to come. Let him shoot!!

Dang, off hand too... It's a shame this kid can't just come be our starting 2 and possibly the next potential star. I can't help but wonder if we're watching fools gold right now though?... The bubble pretty much eliminates off-court issues, and it will not be the same formula when he's traveling with the team. Kid needs to move his immediate family to Houston this summer and build a new off-season routine to keep him out of trouble. He has every tool to be an elite player.

6'7 wingspan, game is not like RoCo's.

Smoov also had over 7'0 wingspan.

    KJ has different game.

Yeah, I'm not using the size comparison, because he is 10x more athletic than Covington, but he could be a J-Smoov type of player in today's NBA. Josh Smith in today's game would probably be pretty similar to Bam in Miami and would fit as a 5 for alot of teams. With KJ's week-side shotblocking and rebounding, I honestly see him playing the new-age 4 spot and playing a similar role to those guys. I think that's how Silas will play him as well.
