In any lineup where we're wanting to develop players. Wall is the opposite of who needs to be in their with them.
I mean the Rockets fan in me says "take your time, be healthy"; the guy smart enough to take Wood on his Fantasy team me is like "you're killing me dude".
Disagree. You need veterans to develop young talent. You just throw a bunch of young guys out and they’ll never figure it out. That’s why the Knicks and Wolves never improve they struggle to get veteran leaders to mold their young talent.
A pass first veteran pg that is a decent shooter would be ideal in that situation. Is there anyone available that fits that mold?
Wall is a veteran. True. John Wall is doing nothing but attempting to highlight himself out there though. He is not playing team nor winning basketball. He's playing me-basketball which doesnt benefit any young kid on the team.
He will probably return when they play the Nets. Hopefully they will lose all games before then. Then win the game against Nets.
Basically, OKC gets the best of the swaps. If Houston lands in the top 4 then that pick is ours. In that case OKC would just swap with Miami if their pick is better. As of right now, we're in a good spot. Top 10 pick no matter what happens and because of the new odds we still have a...35% at a top 4 pick.
Wall was useless as soon as we lost James Harden. The deadline needs to be the firesale of all firesales. Everyone must go except Wood Porter and maybe Tate/Brown. That is it. We aren't winning a title. It's time to develop the players that are going to be part of that championship roster.
OKC owns both the Maimi pick and their own. So the swap only comes into play if they swap either one of those for Houston's pick. OKC will get the best two of three, we will get the worst of the three (unless our own pick is top 4).
