All Simmons would do is clog the lane for Wood and push him to the perimeter. Notice how Simmons and Embiid still can't seem to operate at an elite level even though Embiid can shoot 3's.

Ben needs to play center, period. He would work with Wood because Wood starts his moves from the perimeter. However Wall would not fit with Ben since he can't shoot that well.

It also makes more sense since he couldn't play b2bs. I wonder if we made him a 6th man to play 20 minutes a game could he have played b2b?

I don't disagree with that. Nevertheless, Wall is a slightly more willing passer than James. He isn't a scorer like James. Silas didn't realize how to get the best out of them.

Wall is not a MORE willing passer than Harden, his assist number support my stance and he iso's as much as Harden.

Wall is just inefficient AF in iso.

The difference is that Embiid does not have Wood's ability to show and go.

Wood can hit 3ball at 40%, better than Embiid AND with more attempts.

PLUS Wood is legitimate threat in 5 out to put ball on floor and score.

Simmons can also throw lobs better than Wall.

Simmons would essentially play Russ role but at 6'10.

    6'10 Simmons
    6'3 EGo
    6'5 Thybulle
    6'4 Tate
    6'10 Wood

Now that is a lethal defensive starting 5. Rockets would be TWO deep in HOUnds.

Going nowhere fast based on what? This is idiotic projection. Plus what exactly are the expectations for a team rebuilding on the fly?

Diasgree. Harden only shoots when he's forced to shoot. Like when his team is soo bad around him that his step back three is a better shot than everyone else's wide open attempt.

He makes insane passes that few players would even attempt. I would say watching John Wall this year that's the one part of his game
I thought would be better but has been a disappointment.

So what is the plan? Wood and what? Wall is not a solution and Dipo needs to be traded soon as he is atrocious waste of space. There is only one silver lining and that is Wood. Other then that there is nothing to look forward to

I didn't mean to say that Harden is selfish. He is a SG with terrific passing skills. He is a big time scorer like other elite SG's. You're correct that he does pass more when he trusts other players to score efficiently. Wall has been a disappointment because he didn't run the P/R with Wood. Ironically he and Wood ran one good one with a nice dunk in the same game in which Wood got badly injured.

Tate will be solid. Nwaba is a solid rotation player. Kevin Porter Jr is a STUD, and will eventually become a cornerstone. Wood is a steal. Stone has done a phenomenal job retooling so far

Not sure why you didn't answer my question, but what exactly are your expectations of a team rebuilding on the fly?

Nawaba and Tate are not going to be main pieces on a contender. Just stop. . The Rockets have a long way to go before they become contender. This is going to be a long term thing. If you think you can rebuild on the fly lol

Ppl said the same thing about Patrick Beverly & Montrez Harrell here lol. Now they're BOTH playing key roles on contending teams. Anytime you're rebuilding its a long term plan, so nothing you posted changes anything.

Rebuilding on the fly is getting your cornerstones in place, and building around that. The problem is there idiot fans who don't fully comprehend what a rebuild looks like
