Harden had no Capela, Gordon and CP3 for a combined total of 44 games in one season and still managed to get us to 4th.

 

Harden also led a team with Pat Bev, Trevor Ariza, Tarik Black, Dmo to the second seed. Howard and Jones were in and out for most the year.

if you don’t like Harden or his play style that’s fine, but downplay his ability as top tier player to lift his team to great heights. I don’t like the Westbrook trade either and he should take some blame with that. But I think Clutchfans should remember how everybody in this forum was saying CP was washed after getting locked up by Looney and Jerebko.

 

But how would that team fare with Harden sitting out? That's the question.

I don't think we have this losing streak if Wood plays. Would we have won them all, hell no, but we wouldn't look this bad every single night if Wood plays.

 

This fanbase called him a b**** and loser when he was not able to beat Step, Klay, Durant, and Draymond by HIMSELF. He beats them in a regular season game after the officials rigged it and most of posters are saying why doesn't he play like this in the playoffs. Beat them in the playoffs too if not for the rigging. No other team's star would be treated that way. He posted Wilt Chamberlain numbers that won his chips with Hal Greer and Billy Cunningham and then Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, and Gail Goodrich. What a f**kin' joke.

 

This move should improve Nets defense.

My guess is he is washed after the last set of injuries. A shame...and people don't believe the Nets have problems...that team is having defensive tryouts because they are making bench scrubs look like all-stars.

Quite literally NOT true....

Were things going bad down 3-1 in game 5 against the Clips in 2015? Yep... Harden went out and dominated G5 for the win and kept us alive for the eventual comeback.... The narrative that he got benched in game 6 is also disingenuous... He played GREAT in the first half of game 6 keeping us in the game and then had a terrible shooting 3rd quarter out the half... He went to the bench at the time he usually does end of 3/beginning of 4th and then the insane flukey divine Smoove Brewer run occurred and the game completely flipped to a reverse blowout... McHale simply didn't put him back in the game as he didn't need to.

Were things going bad when we were down 0-2 against the Warriors in 2019 and he had effed up vision from getting poked in the eye by Draymond?... Yes they were.

He went out and went the **** off and helped win those 2 games to tie it 2-2 and was the best player in that series even outplaying KD.... Unfortunately Cp3 was a shell of himself from the season prior and had the WORST PLAYOFF SERIES OF HIS CAREER.

 

When Harden struggled with his shot in crucial playoff games, he sulks and continue ls chucking there's and quotes every other space of the game. It has been a problem with Harden.

 

Except Harden's had bad shooting nights in the offs before and he's gotten to the line a ton and helped us win playoff games.... Sometimes that's not enough and we've lost, but that's definitely happened many games and to deny that is revisionist history.

The fact is Harden needed to be ON and hitting his jumpers at a good clip for us to win against the upper echelon teams in the offs because we usually were going up against a team with multiple stars on the opposition who could afford to not be ON every night if their jumper was off or they were "chucking".

That's the reality.

 

At this point who cares how Harden "Did". He's gone. Let's worry about our new star that we are going to build around how we are going to acquire him.
