I guess I’ve been “lucky” so far. My electricity goes off every 1-2 hours for about 20-30 minutes then comes back on

Power was out from 8 to 3 today.

It was cold as hell in my apartment. Propped up my tablet and mummified myself.

That’s tough man.I live on the third floor of an apartment building with a courtyard separating the other building. Our neighbors across the way moved out yesterday and I can’t imagine dealing with that right now. Sorry man.

Got some nice concentrate and flower but no entertainment. Oh well, I refuse to deal with this crisis sober.

    Man...

We have a gas stove and fireplace..

I learned growing up in Houston always have a gas stove... Mom taught me that... When there was outages we still had a gas stove to cook soup and other stuff...

Fortunately have had no loss of utilities in Austin. Although my outdoor spigot continually freezes even after thawing and dripping it.

I’m in Austin with no power for about 3 hours now. Several others I know have no power. One since 11p last nite south by William Cannon. I can’t even watch the Rockets lose now apparently. What a last year this has been. Sheeeah

You need to run your pipes (hot and cold) every so often as dripping will only work for so long. AND don't forget to periodically flush your toilets and turn on the washer on periodically with the warm setting which runs the hot and cold to keep those lines from freezing.

Know where to turn the water off at because if you do have a frozen burst pipe, you won't know it until it thaws and then you have to rush to shut off the water before more damage is done.

The sad thing too is plumbers will be so busy fixing pipes, that it could be a week or more for you to get a repairman out which means no water in the house until its fixed.

Just got the first in Friendswood. Hopefully it’s rolling and not really out.

All the UPSs in my house are going bananas.

I think I'm on the same grid as City Hall, Police Department, and Public Safety Building in League City so I haven't lost power yet. I'm very thankful.
