He's had to deal with more than any other rookie head couch that I've seen since watching NBA, I could be wrong but I doubt it. Surprisingly if this rookie head coach didn't have the years of experience from being an assistant this could be a lot worse. I don't think JVG would have helped the situation. The players really seem to like Silas. Players like Jeff too, mostly veterans though, he is tough which I like but I don't think some of the guys we see getting a chance would have because it would have been a old team. We would have traded away our young players to make a run with the "all old team". I think Stone knows better. Unless it's a sure fire star we acquire we have to build in the vain of 2004 Pistons/Old OKC (hell even new)/2019 Raptors.
So you're criticizing the coaching staff for something the FO hasn't done? Silas doesn't make personal decisions he coaches the roster he's given. Again, what's you're solution on the rotation?
the only one who has a decent midrange shot is Wood Wall shoots 27% from 10-16 ft and 36% from 16 ft-3 point line...his midrange game sucks Oladipo can’t shoot from anywhere so far midrange has never been EG’s game U really want to see the likes of Tate, Nwaba, House, and Boogie pulling from midrange? The result would still be the same, a brick.
we got dudes crying over not signing an absolute scrub like Alex Len...the state of this franchise is going down the drain
No. If Morey were here we'd be watching Harden stat padding all regular season just to witness Moreyball get exposed in another disappointing postseason flame out. I'd rather lose now, get a possible decent draft pick, or a young stud using our cap flexibility. We are good rebuilding position and Silas is doing good changing the negative stigma created by Morey. You guys didn't hold Morey accountable at any point through his tenure here, but criticize Silas after his 1st losing streak. Hypocrites
lol, no, the goal is not to lose the game. First-year head coach is going to do everything he can to win, as if his career depends on it.
Winning regular season games at the expense of ruining the organization's reputation isn't worth anything
the problem I see is that SIlas is acting like another D'antoni. Small ball, chuck 3's and play stubborn old players with worse defense
I think we have this view of van gundy that's just not true. Any coach with his resume and skills would be er be taken seriously. We like him more bc he lives in houston and uses his platform to say good things about the rockets.
Out of the chute, SS has been dealt a wave of $hitty cards like nobody's business. But great players cycle through...they persevere. He knows what he's doing contrary to what you might think. And eventually you'll recognize this, for it will be undeniable. This is the kind of guy that sees lots of final tables.
Agreed. I dont want to be like Kubiac The coach that goes on to win somewhere else I think we have to give him a legit chance I prefer 4 years......but no less than 3 A real off season with proper prep and practices knowing what he has rather than this surprise fest. Rocket River
Why we didn't get Jarrett Allen is puzzling to me? Love KPJ, but would of love it with JA. I prefer KPJ over JA.
LOL!!! The Rockets won 1 playoff series in 15 years before Morey brought Harden here. In other words we were irrelevant. Now that the era is over you think you're dropping knowledge by saying you'd rather "lose now"? Than "flameout" vs the Warriors, Lakers & Spurs.? All of whom won Championships in this last decade. LMAO! Don't worry buddy, you'll get your wish. As far as rebuilding goes, the Morey/Harden era had run its course and Stone has done well collecting picks. Silas is good for a group like this one, a roster that will have to turned over repeatedly (Morey style) until the next foundational piece is in place. Then a change may need to occur to recruit another Star level free agent for a real title run. Sigh 25 years and counting.........since the last title.
You guys would rather lose the way you want us to instead of losing while playing small which gives us the best chance.
