I wonder what the front office thinks about CP3's resurgence. I assume they just try not to think about it too much.
In this 2020-2021 season……it's only the super team who could keep a healthy full lineup, gonna grab away the championship title. It has been changing into a 'who hurting less contest'.
Having been here when the Rockets were 9th place in the west year after year I think it's simply that people want to see their team play well. Sure, there is some revenge factor there but the simplest explanation is that fans of a team want to see their team play well.
If AD goes down the Nets will win a championship. No one in the West would stop them otherwise, we've already seen them beat the Clippers. I don't think Utah is real, I mean I hate the Jazz but they fizzle out every year...everyone else is a pretender. In the East meh, I guess Philly might pose matchup problems...I guess...
This team as currently constructed IS that perpetual 9th seed and that’s only if they stay relatively healthy. A big ask for this particular group as we are seeing currently. Those 3 years of Rockets basketball weren’t anything to be all that excited about and there sure are a lot of people around here dying for more of it. Like I said, just my opinion, I think a lot of posters want the bad guy to be wrong so badly that it’s clouding their judgment on this teams reality. And I think there are a lot more people that fall into that group than you want to believe.
BRILLIANT OBSERVATION... yet the HOF, ABC, and fanalytics never think that way.... Spoiler let me also put it this way as well so the blowout win vs OKC wasnt simply a win vs a trash team? too busy calculating tanking standings i guess
HardeNets fans thought they were getting him on a buyout. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...andre-drummond-try-trade-star-center-deadline There's been no discussion on a contract buyout that could allow Drummond to become a free agent, sources said.
I think the rules of tanking are vastly different from that era of ball any way. I also just can't agree. It's mainly because people want their team to be good, that's the first part of it. Fans of a team want their team to be good, this tank or not to tank convo goes on in every fan forum and it usually has little to do with scorning an ex-player. It's not some insane idea that Rocket fans want the Rockets to play well and win and surprise people after all. Also, I can easily say that people want the team to look bad in order to make Harden look better. I think there's certainly a lot of that going on too.
Im quite sure there are people on the opposite side. The only thing is whether people want it or not, we aren’t a good team.
we got no choice, gotta toe the line to gamble w/ Adam n the league...that's the rules: market size, one in a million star player outta draft as well as an ambition boss/organization; GSW waited for 40yrs to collect those 3 elements, i.e. well-developed market (booming of silicon valley), splash bros, well-equipped organization. i luv Ws, also hate Ls as much as ya do! but gotta change the perspective, while hanging on.
