I've said a bunch of times that Watson's situation is similar to Harden's in that he has actual value for a legendary haul and the Texans are begging him to say.

If Watson acts the same way you bet I'll treat him the same way, season hasn't started yet though so who knows.

But the Watt situation is different at its very core because the Texans are not begging Watt to stay, in fact they are packing his bags.

    Lol yall still crying.

Hes 31 and the organization is not in position to win. Obviously when he signed the extension we were in a better situation. We almost got one but it just didnt happen then el cheapo destroyed any chances we could have had so its best to move on. My only issue is tilman is still here so what makes anyone think this wont happen again should we get our hands on another superstar?

He was under contract, being paid millions of dollars to play for Houston. He whined and acted like a baby and screwed his teammates and the fans over to get his way. Now he says "that wasn't me" and talks about what a positive person he is. Sorry, that's a crock. That is EXACTLY you, Harden. You had weeks to man up and change your behavior and didn't. Now he wants to have it both ways -- get to Brooklyn and avoid the ire of the Houston fans. Nope. I'm glad he's gone and the organization gets a fresh start. And I'm not defending Tilman. It's not an either-or situation where you have to choose a side -- Harden or Tilman. They both screwed things up. And yes, petty as it may seem, I'd enjoy seeing Harden NOT get a ring with Brooklyn. It'd be sweet if the Rockets got one first.

Could Harden have left on better terms? Sure. But he did want to leave way before they traded him. You can blame Tilman for not trading Harden way sooner. We lost value on Harden by leaving as long as we did.

If he didn't force it, he would still now be playing with a pretty poor Rockets team. He deserves a ring.... and he isn't going to get it here.

You guys have wanted Harden to leave for a while now, and when he did, you're crying about it. You wanted your pass and movement but losing basketball.

Harden is the reason why we even had a shot at the playoffs for 8 years. He barely had good support, but he somehow made us into a contender.

Jeff van Gundy on tonight’s broadcast: if harden didn’t force the Rockets hand they never would have traded him. They refused his demands number of times

The guy is gone and it doesn’t matter now. HE ACTED UNPROFESSIONAL AND A COMPLETE ASS! But He asked out because he was 31 and was sinking further away from championship contention. I guess they thought they could force him into staying here and staying quiet. They should have traded him over the summer when he first asked them to & things wouldn’t have gotten that bad. The question now is CAN FERTITTA BUILD A CHAMPIONSHIP NBA ROSTER? Will he sponsor it , because they aren’t cheap.

    serious question:
If we had an in shape highly motivated run through a wall for the Rockets Harden playing
    The trade never happened
How many more games would we have won?

He didnt screw us over because we werent going to win it anyway. Hes doing us a favor by starting the rebuild now instead of two more years when he could have walked for nothing. At least we get something out of this. Get over yourself

What is a guy supposed to do if he quietly asks for a trade and they dont give it too him?

Rockets turned thier back on Harden long before he did the Rockets.

JJ Watt politely asked to be released. The Texans respect the wishes of their franchise player.

James Harden politely asked to be traded. The Rockets decline his request, and force him to play with an injury riddled squad with 2 players coming back from significant injuries.

Honestly at this point would you rather have him leave and got nothing in return or the ridiculous amount of draft picks and Oladipo's expiring.
This team was no way going to win a title as is.
Wall harden half a Boogie tucker and wood with a messed up ankle. The Rockets wouldn't hesitate trading him if his talent diminished. It's just the nature of the beast.
We will rebuild it happens. Just hope Stone knows what he is doing!
