Where is all this cold coming from? Smh it was just starting to get a bit decent weather-wise before this cold came and slapped me I checked my weather app a few days ago and saw that 1 day there was gonna be a high of 34F and low of 14F. Wtf?!? *sheds frozen tear this is when having dogs is a problem, especially when 1 of them takes forever to take a sh*t
the jackets I have for my dogs probably aren’t built for 14 degree weather...I’m gonna have to buy some good jackets ASAP and maybe some of those dog boots so their paws don’t freeze 2021 is trash so far...weather and sports both been basura
I’m probably gonna have to go to the grocery store today too...smh, HEB and Costco probably gonna be packed and the shelves emptied out
Just a reminder - overpasses are totally ****ed. The road freezes much much more quickly when the road elevates without the collected warmth in the ground to act as a cold sink. In Houston the last time with sustained freezing weather, I want to say four or five years ago, overpasses all turned into bumper car tracks. People had traction in the low spots and only noticed a problem when they elevated and had to slam on the breaks. Bridges and those huge sweeping elevated exit ramps that they've become so fond of are nightmares, too. And don't follow people 3 feet behind like its rush hour on a sunny day in July.
Last ice storm here was January 2018. Less precipitation with that event and it shut down Houston for 2 days. A month earlier we had that snowfall but no major issues on the road.
