Yep, he did. No argument about that here. Am happy he came back to the US. Looking forward to seeing how he does in the G League.

 

It's funny that you mention Donatas (ONLY 30 years old!) since he has the type of skill that would do good in the League if his body allows and I recently sighted Corey Brewer as a personnel on the Pelicans and was just reminded how fast time passes. When I think of able bodied former Rockets players that should have a shot such as:

• Terrence Jones (29 y/o),
• Michael Beasley (32 y/o),
• Chander Parsons (32 y/o - how was involved in an unfortunate and potentially career-ending car accident after practice last season on the Hawks), and
• Josh Smith (35 y/o - to a lesser extent at this age)

There's just so many young prospects out there with such high upside and less known preferences and habits that intrigue teams to go for it. That supply never stops flowing in so hard to see these guys getting another chance unfortunately.

“I’m just so blessed,” Pemberton said. “He’s been teaching me a lot, he put me under his wing and he’s been helping me with the game. It’s really crazy. I look at him in practice and I’m like yo, I’m still a fan. But you’re competing against him, you’ve got to chill. I’ll never forget ‘Linsanity.’ That was the best two weeks of basketball, you had to lock in. ... me being a sponge, I try and get as much information off of him because I want my ‘Linsanity’ moment.”

And working with Lin is a boon to his development.

“With so much experience, you can just tell J Lin is still an NBA player,” Pemberton said. “Before he was in the G League, he was even telling me that he used to question himself a lot.”

Both Jarrett Jack and JLin were +5 for the game, so they probably didn't go up against each other much. Lin also had 5 assists and only 1 TO compared to 0 assists and 4 TOs for Jack.

Instead of starting a Jeremy Lin as a "this team" or a "that team". How about we just start a thread called "Jeremy Lin as a Scrub" and just merge all the garbage and LOF's for the rest of his career in there.
