This is the kind of BS that drives me crazy, the House Managers have done fantastic and its a friggin invasion on the Capitol and now there bored with the facts, does not surprise me, they will vote no not based on these facts but the easy way out saying it isn't constitutional, cant piss off the base....Nooooo, that would to hard. F these GOP senators who cannot do the right thing. Its time for the Dems to play hard ball and quit playing nice, the GOP has shown they will not change even if Trump isn't in the WH, I am tired of losing to these scum bags on these issues. I am curious to see in the next 2 years if Trump will lose part of his luster, best thing ever is Twitter banning him so he cant fire up in base 100 times per day

    Yes, I can.

The Rs dogmatic laissez faire approach to financial market regulation caused them to look the other way.

And don't even get me started on the white hot mess that was the W Presidency.

I think the House Managers, led by Raskin, have done a magnificent job. If the Republicans in the Senate fail to do their duty, it won't be because the House Managers failed to present clear and irrefutable evidence of trump's guilt.

I was going to say, they presented a very strong case, and did a great job responding to points from Trump's side and other Republicans. It's pretty damning for anyone that won't do their duty.

Sadly, I heard Fox News didn't show all of the presentations.

and post-election, they fired some true news folk to double down on gasbag opinion news-tainment.

their business model is still creating an angry, addicted audience, but now with right wing competition.

There were Democrats who had that same approach to the financial market.

I know I got into a tiff about the use of Lady G but that was more about using women to denigrate Lindsey, wth that said my gaydar has been going off the last 2 years and especially the hissy fit he threw about Harrison raising more money than him.

So yeah I can see how that could be something held over his head.

Not that there is anything wrong with that?

If Trumps tweet aren't yelling fire in a crowded theater, I don't know what is. Its not hindsight being 20/20. People were saying this was what was going to happen with Trumps rhetoric.

Obviously they made a crystal clear case of planned and prepared incitement. They didn't even add to that fact of the ones he pardoned doing Trump's dirty work as a pardon favor and holding rallies of their own to incite.

I think one of the most important points was making the case using Trump's own words and actions is that he doesn't take any responsibility, doesn't think he did anything wrong, and that he would clearly do it again if given the chance.

The Republicans ignoring the precedent this sets by voting no to impeachment are basically acknowledging that anyone who loses in the future can lie lie lie, and incite followers to riot again. That used to be the difference between us and 3rd world or Dictator/Authoritarian type regimes. Now, we are on the brink of them deciding if that's how they want our democracy to become.

I know a lot of people will like to say hindsight is 2020, but in this case, January 6 is firmly in 2021.
