I can't imagine the sick power hungry mindset of Republicans who could vote NOT to impeach after escaping for their lives from a mob Trump did NOTHING to stop after they stormed the Capitol. I mean seriously........hours went by. It is as sociopathic as it gets, that Trump watched with glee. Those GOP COWARDS are giving him the green card to freedom? How sick and twisted is that! Cowards! It's disgusting and horrific that those poor officers went through that for HOURS, people were beaten, people killed, and Trump spouted the words he did after that attack. We love you. OMG!!!
As an observational aside, some of our once great senators have sadly become doddering old men on the verge of senility... Does not demean nor diminish the devastating evidence presented today establishing our former president as a treasonous traitor.

Republicans are screwed. Votes to not convict based on a flimsy constitutional argument - centrists will not accept this and will view it as cowardice. They’re not getting back the republicans they lost. GOP will continue to be fractured but trump driven. That’s not winning squat. The reality is that by 2022, covid vaccinations will have been rolled out and likely renewed. Things will be better. Life will be closer to normal, or more precisely, a new normal will have been established. People will enjoy life without the moron in chief. Trump world will push to primary any GOPers who vote to convict. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s will gain prominence and support. I get that people have short memories. But the threat of trumpism won’t soon be forgotten.
