Another DNP by Okpala last night. I would target him. He fits a huge need with size. (6-8, wingspan 7-2) He could play anywhere from the 3-5 as needed. He's 21. The Heat are not playing him.
I'm not trading Oladipo to Miami for less than Herro or Robinson. I don't think they give up Herro or Robinson for Oladipo. Okpala should be a target with McLemore or PJ Tucker. I want PJ traded quickly for some size and youth. Oladipo has a few more weeks to build up his value.
I’m against the trade without Herro or Robinson but you would send Olynyk or Iggy to Boston into their exception for a pick.
@sydmill https://tradenba.com/trades/gZ6MiGtaQ That's the type of Oladipo trade I'd like to wait for. If it doesn't appear in time, then maybe something like Achiuwa, KZ Okpala and a FRP (from Boston for Iggy) for Oladipo makes sense. https://tradenba.com/trades/qJ_Q2yS22 @Codman we going to see Raf accept one of these PJ trades soon?
https://tradenba.com/trades/eKHgn2F8k This is the deal I have personally been proposing. This provides 4 viable options at small forward (Nesmith, Okpala, Tate, & Brown) for Silas to evaluate moving forward and 3 options at the 4/5 (Wood, Achiuwa & Williams). The Rockets might have to toss in a second round pick to Boston to get them to yes, IDK.
I think getting Herro maximizes Oladipo's value but I am concerned that Riley would find that too rich for his blood. As for Robinson, I think I would rather angle to pick Corey Kispert in the draft rather than pay Robinson's increased salary moving forward.
In theory i like the deal but I do not value the Boston portion at all. I’d need at least 1 FRP in that deal probably 2. Hope my valuation is closer to reality than yours.
Baaaaahahahaha what have I created.. https://tradenba.com/trades/6PV7sFmcv Based on what everyone is saying. These are separate trades btw not a 5 teamer (which never happens)
ZL would be such a waste of assets. MPJ or Herro have to be the targets. Although I do like your trade. Eric would need to be flipped next

I honestly don't think MPJ or Herro are available for less than what we would get Lavine for, and he's exactly what we need.. hes a Flamethrower on offense who can facilitate better than Dipo can. Yes, he's he's minus defender, but this team has shown it can be the dest defensive team in the league, even if that falls down a bit in Dipos absence it's still a net gain.
Oladipo for Ntilikina, Pistons 2021 2nd, Knicks 2022 2nd, Pistons 2023 2nd Rockets create a 14+ mill TPE, get what is looking very likely to be the 31st or 32nd pick in the 21 draft, plus 2 more 2nds that could be decent. Also kick the tires of Frank, he’s a good defender just hasn’t put it together offensively.
Good Lord, Oladipo isn't playing great right now but the lineup keeps changing, he isn't a natural PG, etc. Trade him for a "meh" player, 2nds and cap space? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii*. -- Bernie Mac
If people are expecting a big return for Dipo I’m afraid there will be some big disappointment Not only is Dipo underperforming to his standards, he’s been a net negative for us. I would legitimately be excited and happy to get a trade package like that from the Knicks for him. It’s easily better then a late 1st and expirings which is my most optimistic value for him currently. 3 2nds, one being guaranteed top 2, the other two having good potential to be early 2nds, and a 14 mill TPE is great value. The longer we sit on him, the longer he stinks it up, the less value we will get for his reputation, and the value he will get based on being a net negative player on an expiring 21 mill contract.
I think a lot of people are going to be very disappointed in oladipos return...I’m hoping for a young potential player and maybe a first—-more likely one or the other
I can only hope like PJ Tucker that Oladipo knows he isn't long for this team and is not quitting, but not entirely focused either, hence the head-up-his-ass play as of late. Way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up his ass. EDIT. Maybe the Knicks are stupid enough....? https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...eved-To-Still-Have-Interest-In-Victor-Oladipo Knicks Believed To Still Have Interest In Victor Oladipo FEB 10, 2021 2:08 PM The New York Knicks have had interest in trading for Victor Oladipo and may pursue him in free agency. "I would believe those rumblings. I think they were monitoring him in the offseason," said Zach Lowe. "Yes," interjected Ian Begley. "I poked around a little bit and what I heard was 'We want to see the guy play. The guy is coming off a traumatic injury. Then a weird start and stop season in the bubble and before the bubble where he just didn't look very good. We're not going to rush into that. He's on an expiring contract. We'll just sort of wait and see.'" The Indiana Pacers traded Oladipo to the Houston Rockets as part of the James Harden trade.
