2/9/2021 - Next Five Games (NO, MIA, NY, WASH 76ers)

We have 3 routes here

1. Really try to win as much as we can, trade picks for talent upgrades

2. We try stay a hair above Miami/OKC for the year, stay pat, aim for 8th or a late lotto.

3. Tank hard and go for a top 4 pick, sell off our vets for whatever assets they can fetch

 

It seems Stone n the front office not yet made up their mind on where this team should head for, tanking or contending?…
whatsoever, Hornets game was deemed as a must-win game, should not let wall n ego rest.
Or, maybe they are shopping dipo, BenMac n tucker…just made use of recent games as a showcase or something like that…?

 

This team can't field a starting 5 for 7 games in a row, can't ever find the full team on one boxscore. What makes anyone think this is a team in contention? Contention for what p-p-p-p-p-playoffs?!?!

We are picking a direction. It's called value building and development. We are building up the value of Wall, Gordon and Dipo (hopefully) with eyes to eventually trade them for young players.

We are also developing young guys like Wood, Tate, Nwaba, Brown and House. Taking teams suck at both those things.

You need to establish a work hard culture so young players don't turn into trash and vets become worthless on the trade market.

 

Im all for this if you can find buyers at the deadline for 1st round picks.

 

Or maybe they're just waiting for the trade deadline like almost every other team.

 

They are def in tanking mode. Trade deadline will clear out the roster (Tucker, Oladipo, McLemore) for picks.

 

Reality is about to come crashing down.

Its still going to be fun for a "real fan" ... win or lose this team will provide some hope and the way I look at it either Im going to attend 4 or 5 RAD playoff parties and then hug it out with my "blue blood, red rowdy, been down with the team since San Diego" ROX bros and we move froward with the 15th pick IF THAT and build around Wall I guess?

Or we try as hard as possible and are just not good enough to win consistently, but hit on a high draft pick that will grow with the nucleus and HOPEFULLY turn into something of a franchise star.

either way it should not be cause to check everybody's fan cards - its all good just go with the flow!

 

4. Go with nature. Pissing in the great outdoors.

Definitely need to beat Miami to give us a better chance at those precious picks. Miami is getting a little too feisty.
