    Boston is contending.....truly contending.
If Boston gives up 2 second round picks it will be more than Houston.

Houston is in the process of getting draft picks.....not spending draft picks. Not enough to nab AG and Bamba.

Yes, expiring contracts are chump change for many of these teams. They wait until Houston pays most
of their salary and then chase after them as borrowed help in hope of getting by their foes.

You would give up a lot for Tucker? Does it get you by Bucks? Nets? Lakers? Clippers? Give up a first
and not get by them.....then Tucker moves on to bigger pastures.

Then it’s true what they say, “a sucker is born every minute.” Unfortunately you are not an NBA GM.
What would you give up for Nwaba expiring contract
    Sterling Brown expiring contract?
    Oladipo rental for 2 months?
    Cousins rental?

Tucker on a 2nd unit with a contender using Tucker minutes strategically could definitely be a game changer.
    Lakers
    Clippers
    Bucks
    76ers
    Brn
    Bos
    Should all have intrest

    Define Tucker minutes?

He is getting 31 minutes.......5 pts..........5 rebs currently.

    So 2nd unit of 16 minutes? 15 minutes? 2.5 pts.............2.5 rebs.

Pop Quiz? How much is Tucker 2.5 pts and 2.5 rebs on a two month rental (leaves in free agency) mean to you?

    @SRR21

Go ahead, say what’s on your mind

No wrong answer, here. Will you give me a first round pick? Quality player in your rotation for him?
Tucker that is? Nwaba? Sterling Brown? Cousins?

Teams may wait to see if Tilman buys them out after the trade deadline to save a few bucks on everyone
except Dipo. They may have their players contact those expiring contracts we have thru back door
channels and campaign for Tucker, Nwaba, S Brown, Cousins to go without giving up a pick or quality player.

Ever been on a blind date? Ask the person setting you up, “is she pretty?”

Answer: she has a nice personality!!

That’s what I think of when people tell me Tucker does a lot that doesn’t show up in the stat sheet.

We need to look past the surface and hope another team likes the personality as much as we do.

Excellent list of teams with nothing left to trade.
Except Boston but everyone knows it impossible to trade with Ainge.

I think for what Tucker is right now shorter stints on the court would be better. 20 strong quality minutes is better then 33 slow sloppy minutes. His legs are dead.

The 2 teams that make the most sense are Philly and Denver. They both have a tpe that fits Tucker’s salary meaning that they would only have to send Houston a frp or three 2nds to get the deal done.

Can’t say the Clippers are worried that the Lakers get Tucker and vice-versa. If they can’t overcome Tucker coming
off the bench and posting up huge numbers of 3 pts and 3 rebs.....then they don’t deserve to win the championship.

    Nets and Bucks as well.

The Nets are the one team that could really use him. They don't need anymore points. They can score 120 in their sleep, but defense has been an issue.

    And they give us what?

They spent LeVert, Jarrett Allen, T Prince, Kurucs, picks for Harden

They don’t have much assets, that’s why they are searching through the trash bin and finding
Shumpert recently and just traded for Noah Vonleh or signed him.

They do have foreign players......but that goes with what I said about not getting anyone major right now. Future help. Foreign stash players is a far cry from Aaron Gordon level players.

I will give Tucker and House to the Warriors for the rights to Justinian Jessup. But will they do it.
Again, not immediate help like my conversation began with other CF’s. Oubre becomes FA this offseason.

Honestly just taking some second round picks is worth it for us if we can't get a better deal. We gonna lose him in offseason for nothing anyways.

    So.. back to trades.. haha

I think Oladipo may have lost his stock just a little. And expecting something close to a star back may not be possible - especially if we're also wanting a pick back. So I thought of something like this..

    https://tradenba.com/trades/Fm51oWUXT

Rockets get OPJ, Nunn and a 2021 FRP from Denver

Bulls get Precious, Olynyk and PJ Dozer

    Nuggets get PJ Tucker, Bmac

    Miami get Oladipo

I'm with the board it seems, that PJ by himself ain't bringing back a FRP. Throw in McLemore and it might push it over the edge. Especially for a contender like Denver. Murray has been shoddy this season (as it seems most that blew up in the bubble), so having some reliable bench scoring wouldn't hurt either. Playing Milsap and Tucker as a 1-2 punch would do wonders around Jokic.

Bulls have their forwards of the future in Precious and PWill. That's a crazy young defensive core. Could also mean they can move on from Lauri or WCJ, while their stock is still somewhat high. If I were them (which I clearly am not) I'd see if the Spurs would bite on a Coby, Olynyk and Lauri trade for Dejounte Murray. But.. thats just me.

Miami get their guy, and by their guy I mean the guy they get after they whiff in Bradley Beal.

For us. I really like OPJ filling Tuckers role. He's quietly having a great season and can fill either forward spot. I like that he could possibly resign here significantly less than Dipo (somewhere 10-15m) which would leave a bit of room to go after someone like Oubre in the off season, or take a wild swing on someone else if we get rid of Gordon too. Nunn is no throw away guy either. He should be able to run the 2nd unit surrounded by defenders.

    Wall/Nunn
    Gordon/Brown
    Tate/House/Nwaba
    OPJ
    Wood/Boogie

Here's hoping Wood comes back soon, cuz that team is desperate for some offense :/

Thing is you gotta have some luck on your side too .... even with the worst record they'd have a 52-48 shot at falling into the top 4 and keeping the pick .... the further away from the worst record you get , the worse those odds become.

I'm content with trying to win a few games this year while developing players .... and having a better record than either Miami or OKC and keeping the pick , even if it is outside the top 10. Best part of that is that if you are in the lottery , there's still a chance you land a top 4 pick.

What I'm not content with is sucking and landing the 5th pick and sending it to OKC. The Rockets need to finish with a better record than either OKC or Miami. So far , so good.

Id rather have Olynekq + Iggy, Nunn and Precious, OPJ opens up that huge expiring but seriously just works better to work with Miami alone on this.

    https://tradenba.com/trades/qDsLlJEx0

Come Feb 18, this when Haslem can be traded from Miami.

Rockets Get : Nunn, Precious, Garry Harris, Iggy, Olynek. and Haslem

Nuggets Get : Gordon, Mclemore, Exum, House, and Heat 2021 1st Round Pick

Heat Get : PJ Tucker, Victor Olipido, Will Barton, Cash to complete trade.

Helps all teams. Nuggets need shooters like Gordon and Ben, Get a young talent like House and 1st.
This is all about getting Help for the Heat to improve there roster so they can make a push. Rockets get younger and get expiring.

That’s exactly what I was saying.

Casino term (Tilman knows casinos) cashing in your chips. Trading all these expiring contracts for something before they walk for nothing.

Exum: height, defender, may be useful to a contender. Will be healthy by trade deadline.
Nwaba: rep as a defender, can hit some 3’s. Cheap cost....cheap rental.
Sterling: good defender, one of our best 3P shooters % wise. Cheap rental
Cousins: hobbling on one leg; but can give you a few minutes of backup relief, cheap rental.
Tucker: good communication skills, basketball I.Q. Can hit the corner 3, liked in locker room. Much like Camby with
us (Rockets) at end of career, slightly better. Player-coach that is mostly Coach now. 6’5” PF-C that scores
below average in both positions and allows opponents to score higher in average in both positions when
opposed by Tucker (at both positions) according to 82games.com.
Oladipo: appears to be too selfish while trying to impress other teams......which means he wants to test free agency,,,
which means he will leave Houston in the offseason......which means we (Rockets) need to trade him.

So, yes best deal available. I was saying the contenders value them more than non playoff teams; but because they
are possible rentals, they won’t want to give up current rotational players that matter. Just draft picks and foreign
    player rights.

Knicks just acquired D Rose but the Pistons had to take back a bad contract that everyone knows they have been
trying to unload since this past summer. Tilman will empty the cupboard and restock it with G-leaguers if he has to.

Expiring bad contracts if accompanied by draft picks or rights to foreign players are ok. Fournier or similar works.
Those foreign players were draft picks at one time. Probably have a little more seasoning than the second round
pick coming out of college this year or next. Alexandar Vezenkov went from Brooklyn to Cavs in Harden trade, but
they have several good foreign player rights. Just saying. I would rather have that than taking DeAndre Jordan
    in return.

~ Rockets could use Olynick(Back up Center for Wood, Height and Rebounding) but on a cheaper contract plus hes bit younger than Tucker..
~ Nunn and Precious very young future building blocks on team friendly contracts, to play around Wood.
~ Gary Harris is a cheaper version of Gordon, and young. Contract is done in 2022
~ Iggy and Olynek, Haslam 29 Million expriing. Haslem can get cut and resign with Miami.

    John Wall Nunn
    Brown Kendrick Nunn
    Nwaba Garry Harris
    Precious Tate Kurucs
    Wood Olynek Cousins

Ltttle bit better team to build around.
