I'm ok with Deshaun forcing his way out. Its annoying he and his agent are using the media to push it but if he doesn't want to be here let him go. Wentz isn't forcing his way out as much as he sees the writing on the wall. He's on a big contract and he was not going to beat out Hurtz in a qb competition so he'd end up a very expensive backup counting down his guaranteed money until his eventual release. Might as well go play for Chuckle while he's still young
when you say the talking heads are you talking about Texans fans? Or guys like a Brett Favre? for Texans fans it’s because we don’t care about Wentz... and... What it is for the media talking heads.... no one else really cares about Wentz either. He sucks currently. that said... it’s also not cool for a Wentz to do what he did... but to the extent it’s more ok than Watson... it’s because he’s further removed from signing his contract, his team drafted his potential replacement early in the last draft, then he was benched and the team doesn’t want him as much as he doesn’t want the team. slightly different situations. If DW kept quiet this offseason and the Texans drafted a QB in the top 2 rounds then DW went on to have a meh season while the team sucked and had some games where he was benched for the new QB they drafted cause might as well try that guy out... I do t think anyone would be questioning DWs desire to be traded then. but now... all we know is what’s been laid out in the timeline I presented... and some vague concept of DW wanting to be involved I. The process apparently to the extent they had to hire the guy he wanted them to hire despite the fact that he’s a moron when it comes to evaluating coaches/GMs.
except my narrative has facts behind it... so...? He said he wanted to be involved. He was. he thought BOB was awesome. That’s moronic.
According to the he thought BOB was awesome logic... the whole team thought he was awesome. no one said a bad word about him... at least until the end or he was traded. Heck it would’ve been “Watson is a cancer” if he went against the coach. damned if you do damned if you don’t. Texans f***ed up way more than Watson here.
No....when the worst head coach in the NFL is actively destroying your team, that's not the time for over the top praise....especially when the arguement for keeping that coach for years has been your over the top praise. Watson stood by BOB as he took an elite defense, stripped it of nearly all talent and made it one of the worst in the NFL. Watson stood by BOB as he ran top tier player after top tier player and former legends out of town. In fact, the first time Watson had a problem with the franchise was when they fired BOB. The timeline and the facts simply don't support the narratives being pushed to defend Watson's ridiculous actions.
lol the Eagles didn't want Wentz the player. He's underperformed for a while. Totally different situations. Texans want Watson because he's literally the second most valuable qb in the league. Do you think Texans management and the fans would care about a player like Wentz underperforming for the past 2 seasons being traded? Totally different dude.
Are there multiple quotes from other players praising how awesome BOB was? Did those same other player insist on being part of the hiring process? Are those other players now requesting a trade? min fact the opposite happened... BOB was finally fired AFTER JJ Watt “stood up” to him.... hmmm.... maybe that wound have happened earlier if other team leaders didn’t have his back.
He will be traded but too late (post-draft) to maximize the return, just like Clowney. These idiots will never learn.
