Harden rolled his ankle every week and it never bothered him. It was odd. I mean he would probably sit out the next game but that was after finishing the game in where he rolled the ankle. He's made of the same stuff Lebron is made of who also just simply doesn't have major injuries.
Come on man leave harden out of this. We’ve seen him with nasty lookin hi juries and not even miss a quarter. Harden has stepped on another players foot in transition like Wood too many times to count.
You keep saying needs more shots without saying how. Gordon can shoot 20 times because he can dribble the ball and create on his own whether in an iso or PnR situation. Wood on the other hand cannot generate his own shot consistently from the perimeter. As you said he can pick and pop, but that's not him creating shots. He is also very streak from the 3, he shot awful percentage earlier in the season. The one move Wood uses the most is the head fake 3 and then straight line to the rim, he also does not pass well from anywhere on the floor. So far Wood there's been 3 ways he scores, from PnR, Headfake and straight line drive, or Pick and Pop 3's. All of which requires a guard to set him up. We have forced Iso's from him before from the high post and low post. He fails to do anything spectacular from there, especially because he is a weak passer out of doubles.
I bet they already did the MRI. But typical Houston Rockets, won’t release publicly till later today.
It is true that one of the crew members is ill... slightly ill. But the other two pilots... they're just fine. They're at the controls flying the plane... free to pursue a life of religious fulfillment.
We have a plethora of 6'3" - 6'6" guys, why are we not moving a couple of them for big men? We needed more bigs before the Wood injury, now its a paramount need. What's the holdup?
It is obvious that Stone does not want to commit to strategy until he has to. That is to say that the Rockets are not going to confirm "going for it" or a "full rebuild" at this point. Accordingly the Rockets will not want to over pay for a big, and likely are looking for bigs that can be a part of the now and future. That makes a trade harder to make. This injury potentially may make the decision for the Rockets concerning what they do for the rest of the season.... but lets wait for the results. I personally did not think it looked all that bad, but Bullard did and Stephen Silas seemed really concerned.
Folks, the feeling I get from all the clues that the Rockets are giving us is that we've got your classic case of the dreaded BONE-ON-BONE Hold on to your butts, fellow kids.
I do understand that. Balancing the roster is substantially less a commitment than tanking or going for it. Got to be a team(s) out there with too many bigs and not enough of what we got in spades.
I think they will get something figured out, I am only that it is harder because of the circumstances.
He would still get hurt but definitely not as often... 3 ankle rolls in 15 games ????? I want to grow up to be Keith Jones. He does nothing ...
