Don't look now but the closest thing we have to a star is injured again. Wall is not exactly an iron man. There is hope! Protect your investments, prepare for next season a la Golden State last year.

Morey did the math thats why when the Rox got Harden and no one else he blew his cap on Ryan Anderson and EG. Cuz those 3 together spell dynasty right?

Morey did the math and hates mediocrity treadmill thats why even if the Sixers are the 7th most likely team to win a ring he said they are championship or bust.

Speaking of Sixers, Hinkie tanked for Sixers so well they got a dynasty by now amirite?

We dont get our pick unless its a 50-50 lol we been over this multiple times. A lotto pick isnt an established superstar either getting a young star doesnt mean you keep your young star. Spurs didnt keep Kawhi, Cleveland didnt keep Lebron and OKC didnt keep KD. Jazz didnt keep Hayward Charlotte didnt keep Kemba Atlanta didnt keep Horford.

And what is even your point? It is impossible to get multiple top 4 picks now even if you tank delibrately every year as you only get 50% chance. So even if Wood isnt better than 75% of top 4 picks (too lazy to run the nos) you wont get multiple top 4 either you'll just get a random assortment of lotto picks and Wood is indeed better than 75% of that assortment.

Who knows, but they could/can probably have sent Wiseman or the #1 pick for Beal or someone available and made a run before Steph goes down again.

Look you just asked what is the most practical way to be relevant I answered you and gave you the stats with actual teams who got stars thru FA and became champions.

You say thats unlikely but just run the math of being able to tank for multiple years, get top 4 picks, have those picks be superstars and then keep those superstars till you win a ring and not lose them thru FA and that is even more unlikely.

Just dont say blatant lies like tanking to get the top pick is the surest way to win a ring cuz thats not true. NBA teams get a top pick in the draft every year but championships are concentrated on a handful of teams.

More superstars win their rings on a different team than the team that drafted them. FACT.

Oh you are talking about this years pick. Spurs got a chip out of it but Kawhi wanted to be in LA, no one is gonna leave their place to be here(except maybe Deaaron Fox). OKC had a super team in the making and squandered it by trading Harden. and Cleveland is incompetent. Jazz never put a winning team around Hayward and frankly, Hayward wasnt good enough, they lucked out by him not signing there. I woulndt want to pay him either. Charlotte is a trash organization as well as Atlanta. Literally 4/6 here are incompetent front office situations.

So? What you dont get is 50% odds are still good. Dude, nothing is guranteed, you give yourself the best chance. It honestly would have worked for Philly and OKC if Hinkie hadnt of gotten fired and if they had just paid James Harden. Woods is not getting FA to come here, Im sorry. He's likely not a top 10 player, maybe he can be top 25. Combined that with Houston, the odds are far less likely of getting a super team here or high tier FAs to come here. Its just not happening. The odds are much MUCH lower for that.

All the stuff on Morey's preference for tanking is pretty documented in various interviews, michael lewis pieces etc. Leslie didn't allow it. The Harden trade exceeded everybody's wildest dreams - as has been chronicled many times. All this stuff is on record

The Sixers are leading the EC right now as a direct result of the Process, so.. I guess it failed...?

LOL, sure if you are LA, New York or Miami, you might have point We arent them. Take a look at GS. That's the model, and honestly the Spurs too.

That's because more superstars are surrounded WITH INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT

It's not the surest but it maximizes your chances.

I mean to go from 3% of something happening to 13% of something is not a "sure thing" but it's crazy talk to say you'd rather stick with good ol 3%
