BMac is better 3ball shooter, House is better overall player + starter. Depends on what Magic want more. House is still useful to Rockets however so I'm hoping the 40% 3P shooter appeals to them more. Perhaps House-Exum-McLemore seals the deal instead of Tucker. Hoping Stone at least makes an attempt. Adding AG makes too much sense. Imagine this line up on fast break: Wall Dipo Tate AG Wood Devastating.
Dont get me wrong, I'll miss PJ but trading for AG is the BEST move for the Rockets. AG adds a taller 4, small ball 5, better 1-5 iso defender, better ball handler, better passer, better scorer, better rebounder, better finisher and even improves our pace. Adding AG is a no brainer.
Wait til the deadline so Tate can keep learning from Tucker but then flip him to Philly or Boston. Both have trade exceptions that can fit him. If you get back a late first from them and save Tilman some money, I think that makes sense.
I have been interested in trading Tucker, Exum, Gordon, and Dipo. It we are keeping any part of the current core past next year this is one of the first good ideas I have seen as no one has a problem with dumping bad salary, getting younger, adding size and athleticism, and adding solid D and offense.
I really meant do him like we did Ariza and let him get paid elsewhere. After tonight, I’ve changed my stance. I’ll put my faith in Silas and Wall.
If Aaron Gordon is available I would pull the trigger. Tucker Dipo for Gordon just makes too much sense. Ask for them to throw in Birch & well give them McLemore. Lets us sign Jones. Obviously those 2 would need to extend on the magic. But Magic would look good next year Vucevic. Bamba Tucker Isaac Bacon Oladipo. Ross Fultz. Anthony We'd have Wood. Cousins Gordon Tate. House Gordon. Nwaba Wall. Jones Gordon adds to the defensive identity of the team too.
Birch is keeping Bamba on the bench, he is too important to the Magic right now. And Bamba is an expiring so unlikely they even want to re-sign him since they've shown him less and less love every season since he was drafted. And do not need both Dipo AND Tucker to match AG salary. Either will do. Rockets have TE so can take back salary in Tucker for AG swap. But I doubt Rockets trade PJ with Wood injured. And AG cannot play until March with his own ankle sprain.
Man I really love some of the responses in this thread than looking at the Harden apology thread completely hilarious.
Loyalty only applies when it involves a star player wanting to move on from a team that he doesn't think can win, not when a team wants to move on from a player that has given his everything. Then it's a business decision. Just ask Isaiah Thomas. Sister died and he played on a bad injury that ultimately ruined his career because the Celtics needed him to win and they dumped his ass instead of rewarding him. Business.
