Mad Max tweeted recently how bad a nickname CWood is and how much he hates it. He’s 100% correct and it’s painful to hear our announcers abuse it each and every game. You don’t call Gordon EGordon or Lebron LJames or Kawai KLeonard or Harden JHarden. Just a moronic nickname made up by our announcers. In Detroit he was sometimes called the Crucifix. We can certainly do better than his first initial and last name. He’s not applying for a driver’s license, he’s the Most Improved Player in the NBA and deserves a better nickname than CWood.
Y'know, I was kind of with you until you started talking about "the Crucifix" as an alternative. CWood is not that bad. Maybe CDUB or CDouble.. naw.. everything sounds bad now that I can't get "the Crucifix" out of my head.
