They don't care because they care about gerrymandering, vote suppression and the courts that let them do it. GOP goal is to get 46% of the votes and win sole control of all 3 branches of government, and then end Democracy. This is a very plausible scenario that almost happened
They’re doing to her the same thing they did to trump...media and publicity . This **** stain isn’t worth the convo or attention she’s getting.
I disagree with this. These folks are on the decline. We should shine a light on them. Force those who will support her to be exposed. Take advantage while we have it and persue the retreat.
Again, just blaming the media here isn’t really the whole story. Greene made it to congress without much of that focus. Unlike trump, whose long history and media appeal brought him into government, this woman got the job first. The idea that a person like her was somehow not going to get media attention once she’s in the building is just not realistic. the time to stop this person from gaining influence was before she gets to the highest levels of government. And the only ones that could have done that were the voters. It’s time to accept the real truth and problem here: this woman represents a fairly significant portion of what republican voters are now. So much so that the GOP is too cowardly to put an end to it.
I agree that Greene needs to be kept in perspective as a first time Representative. The problem though is if the GOP Caucus is going to give her a platform and not confront what she is saying then that is on them. I will point out that Ilhan Omar was also a first term representative and the Democratic Caucus censured her. While they didn't strip her of her committee assignments leadership and most of the caucus made it clear that they didn't agree with many of the comments she was making and she has said she learn and be more careful. We're seeing none of that from Greene. If anything she's doubling down on her rhetoric. If the GOP Caucus won't do anything about it then they rightfully should be tarred with her.
I guess they want a far right extremist to split their party into pieces. This is the beginning of the end of "Conservative" in the Republican party. They can side with her or against her, but either way the majority of Americans will have a greater chance of voting in a Democratic President again in 2024.
Exactly. During the debates trump lied by saying he didn't know who the Proud Boys were. Now House minority leader lies by saying he doesn't know what qanon is (despite past comments claiming they had no place in American politics). Their willingness to lie to defend, and unwillingness to speak out against, shows how important these violent extremist organizations are to republican politics. 2022 should be a referendum on the republican party and support of and involvement in dangerous extremist groups.
While I would not put too much into a surveymonkey survey... Exclusive poll: Republicans favor Greene over Cheney https://www.axios.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-liz-cheney-a8f966eb-2a4b-452c-a1f4-61922bd07980.html
So you just let her carry on as usual? You are always saying the Democrats don't have balls and then when they flex their muscles you have an issue with it. I don't understand, don't you advocate them playing from the republican playbook?
watching the votes roll in on her committee removal (or whatever the hell they are voting) it's clear that the government in this country and/or people, in general are just broken. There are not Dems that think she should stay on, and no Repbus that think she should be taken off. It is just pathetic and herds of primates that can not think for themselves. The need for term limits in the absolute worst way nothing will be honest until these people can return to normal jobs and be there for a lifetime.
