It’s actually their development of players which is more important Kids want to go to the nfl Nobody cranks them out like Alabama
Is there an estimate when the team facilities that are being renovated as a part of the SEZ will be ready?
We're going to beat the **** out of them. Cynicism is tired and boring at this point; I'm drinking the Kool-Aid instead.
Are people really complaining about Alabama getting a great recruiting class?? This kids want to win and develop to be in a position to play in the NFL and do well in the NFL. Who wouldn’t want to play for Saben, he has won 7 titles in the last 17 years. If a kid stays at Bama 4 years he has a good shot at two titles! These kids also get excellent business and marketing opportunities after winning a title at Alabama if they don’t make it to the NFL. These kids also get great assistants to coach them and compete in a great conference and practice against the best. Going to a school like UT as a 5 star recruit is dumb. There has been coaching turmoil and players haven’t developed. The conference isn’t as great either. I am not picking on UT, there are a number of programs that are the same way. However If I had a son that was a top 25 player in his class, and clearly great, of course I would push for him to go to Bama and would talk him out of UT or USC or other former top spots.
How am I picking on UT? The comment I responded to was in a UT thread. As for UH, a 5-star athlete would be brain dead to sign there over Alabama.
Went back and watched all his throws vs. CU. Small sample size but kid was really throwing some dimes. Not to knock on Sam but there were a number of throws I don’t think he could make. RPO with Bijan and some designed QB runs could be special.
I wonder how all the athletic department employees that were furloughed or asked to take paycuts due to lack of funds feel about this. Also, this seems like a good reason to promote him: After his NFL career ended, Young filed for bankruptcy and he returned to Texas in a full-time, $100,000-a-year job as a career development officer in the school’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. The job later became part-time and Young was eventually dismissed for poor performance and often being absent from work or not in touch with his supervisors.
Except for the other 5-star that just decommitted a few months ago. This guy still has a year to change his mind...
